I just noticed
One of the OTA updates I got lets the car recognize the phone in the charger after shutoff. Good move. I wish I could get the 2023 screen options in my 2020. How hard could that be?

Other than the phone in charger warning, GM hasn't used the OTA function to add features, only to correct issues.
How hard could it be? That depends. If the new functions in the 2023 require more memory than the system in the 2020 has, it could be impossible. But even if that's not the case, GM hasn't shown any inclination to add new features to older cars.

So - I don't have a 2020, but from looking at the 2020 Owners Manual, it appear to have the options for the different display themes. Do you have something called display design and info tiles selection? If so, you should be able to select what info you want on your display. I use the track theme, for all drive modes, because it allows more info tiles to be on the same display. But you can also (if the 2020 has that) select tiles for the Tour theme is that is what you want.
