Default Script emblem

I am ordering a torch red convertible. One option is torch red script emblem. What emblem comes on the back? Is this option worth the upcharge?

By default it comes black. I wouldn't get it in body color, it needs the contrast. I got the torch red script on my AW car, and I'd consider it worth it on mine since red is the color splash on my car. Red calipers, red dipped interior, red aero accents, red lights and red corvette script.

Is it worth it? Totally up to you. GM showed monochrome setups on their website (white letters on AW, red letters on TR, etc), so their designers apparently think that looks good. Some will like it, some won't. Get what you like.

looks like they only offer the script emblem in white, blue and red. The default black will probably look best. Thank you for your opinion.

I recommend body-color gee-gaws every time possible.

Here is an Arctic White C8 with white lettering. I imagine that red on red would be the same effect.

Not worth it for me, as I much prefer the rear of the car without it. Much cleaner IMHO!

Fortunately, I was able to see my car with black lettering, debadged and then white. Different strokes for different folks. I thought the rear looked bland without lettering.

I have HGM and removed my rear badging as well. I thought the rear end was MORE than just a bit busy looking, so I removed the lettering. I think it looks cleaner. The whole world knows its a Corvette, so I saw no reason to have letters on the car telling everyone what it is.

Just my opinion, but on a torch red car, I would go with black lettering.

Thanks for the input. So even if I just get the standard black emblem on the torch red car, I could remove the black emblem if I don’t like it. I originally thought the standard emblem was molded into the rear facia but apparently it is a removable emblem.

Get the standard then de-badge it, IMO as others here it’s a much cleaner look, but to each his own. Good luck 👍

simple to remove, get it warm, sun or heat gun then run fishing line or dental floss underneath, residue can be removed with goo gone

Like the clean look without the letters. Have a Red Mist HTC @ 3000 and will remove the letter also when it arrives. Also like the C6 tag frame. Have them color matched on my Escalde and SL63 and have one being painted for the C8

You can also get the script in chrome which I think is the best option with Torch Red

PLUS it cuts down on the "What kind of car is that?" questions!

I have no desire to hide that my vette is a vette, but I also don't like broadcasting it's a vette. Matching the color of the script is subtle, IMO, and only available in 3 colors I believe.

Chrome is a huge NO, unless you're retired. It's very out of style, like white walls. The fact I could black out as much as I could made me grateful I had to wait a year to order, because it only became available in 23.

I doubt it. People either know or they don't. Plenty of people have contrasting "corvette" on their car and get asked. Let's not forget the corvette emblem on the front, stingray on the back, plus other indicators. Car people know regardless, Joe regular just thinks it's some sort of exotic.
