Maybe i would of got a more concrete answer if I had the car already but I understand, how can they quote me on a car I don't have 2 months early. That's why I am asking on this forum of enthusiast experts who may be able to give me some market foresight
Exactly, no one's going to take you seriously unless you actually have a C8 in your possession. They probably get 50+ 'what if?' will you buy my C8 scenarios everyday.
thanks for the info! Let us know what chevy said and your msrp / miles
2021 1LT Z51 4500 miles, yellow, yellow calipers. Car has Stance wheels but chevy wants the factory wheels on it for best price. So next weekend im swapping them back to stock and then taking it to Chevy.
I'm not sure what you guys are looking at. I did a nation wide search for C8s on CarMax and Carvana ,
and the cheapest was a 2021 2LT with 20,000 miles for $81k
And that doesn't include the shipping fee
That's what I thought too. I thought for sure id get 75-80k from carmax based on what they have listed, but I'm guessing they are being more cautious given the downward trend in the market. I'm pretty sure no matter who I end up selling to that they will list my car for 85k or higher when selling.

I have no idea what the sticker looks like, so given it's a 3LT with Anniversary package and little else, your looking at ~85k. If you have a favorable tax rate, you might see 3.5%. Add doc and other "mandatory" fees, licensing, etc., and you're looking at ~90k at a minimum out the door.
If you need to finance, then you'll be sitting on any fees that you have to pay to originate, even credit checks if the lender requires it.
So now you have an asset that is specifically outfitted to whatever spec you chose, and looking for a buyer that will pay a premium for simply jumping ahead of ordering. Also, it's winter. Keep in mind these vehicles are actually starting to show up on lots at 5k over MSRP because folks are backing out. The Anniversary Edition may be a draw, but weigh the effort vs. the expected profit. Days of 25k+ profit are gone unless you happen to find someone with money to burn and no knowledge that they could pretty easily do a +10k arrangement with a dealer and get a car in a few months.
im actually surprised you havent been trolled by all the "wow youre a reseller" group on the forums. I think its not as worth-while for you to flip a C8 anymore, even if its a 70th anniversary, but also i have no idea where the market could go in a few months. take your risk tolerance into consideration and look what your region's prices are going for.
When I ordered my 22 I had the chance to get the race edition….the one with the yellow stripes. I don’t like stripes so I passed and ordered accelerate yellow. Dud, Well there’s a premium resale for any c8 with a premium package, which I missed the boat on. So the 70th, go for it.
I have a dealer friend I use to flip my cars. Of all things he’s a Honda dealer but loves Porsche and is a gear head. He’d be interested in your car. I’ve sent a few other forum members to him.
Tons of online free sites to get offers.
Also don’t put any miles on it. Spend the money to have it shipped. I shipped my last flip to the Honda dealer.

I've sold sportscars out of state MANY TIMES. My advice is Never-Ever arrange / pay for shipping of a sold car. Make your deal with purchaser and have them schedule 'their' shipper to pick up the car. That way after payment/title has been completed and 'their' shipper has inspected and loaded the car, all risk / damage is the responsibility of the purchaser, not seller. I have never had a purchaser refuse getting their own shipper, in fact, they always want to choose their shipper.

I would be interested in that! Feel free to send me his contact information in my private messages.

except in this case the dealer I sold it to is a friend and when you have a good relationship it does not matter.
In fact oddly enough the shipper scratched the car shipping it.
technically I was on the hook for the repair. Dealer covered it as he inspected the car upon delivery and said he should have caught it.
Yep, exactly why you should never put yourself in that position. I'd be particularly careful when dealing with a friend as nothing can sour a friendship faster than loaning $ or a damaged vehicle.
