Android Auto -Google news

My android just upgraded to V13 and Google news is forced on to Android Auto even though I do not have the ap installed on my phone. I have not found a way to turn it off, remove, disable,... It appears on my Screen on my car. Any answers appreciated.

I just found it. Similar to what you mentioned, but it was in the phone android app itself as I suspected. Google was no help in trying to find the solution. Turned it off on the phone (uncheck new box added with software V13 update) and it disappeared from my car's screen at the same time.
