Congratulations! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. If you have the time take advantage of all of it - the guided museum tour, the factory tour, and the R8C merchandise. I've had three museum deliveries and enjoyed each of them. I didn't get the factory tour with any of them but they made up for it a couple of weeks ago.

Before picking it up, I’m headed to the NCM Track to do the 2 hr C8 Experience. YOLO!!

Congradulations every one on there upcoming deliveries . I was just able to order my car for a Museum delivery ,I was told my tpw is 2/13/23 (subject to change) I will be coming in from NY and then visiting my brother in TN then a trip down to Clearwater Florida for a week or may bee for the Winter. One of my concerns is the door sill plates, Do they sell plastic sill protectors at the museum store ? Is there a store ? should I be bringing a set. I guess we are going to bring a duffel bag as I dont know what will fit in the car for luggage. What did you folks do . I am going to order a set of the Jake liners and ship to my neighbor in Florida so i have them when i arrive

ThankLarry

Just took delivery at the Museum on 11/17, then drove 866 miles home to Texas. Don’t know about sill plates, but there is a store inside the Museum. I was surprised how roomy the trunk and frunk were. We stowed a large carry-on and duffel bag in the back and dirty clothes and purchases from our four day trip in the frunk,

i did NCM delivery of my new C8 with my daughter on 11/19. We drove the car back to NJ, which was around 13 hours and 850 miles. We got to know the car pretty well on the way home! The car, with Z51 and mag ride, is just an unbelievable grand tourer. I’ve never been more comfortable on a long road trip. I was completely fresh after reaching NJ, and even took my son for a ride when we got home.

For tips and tricks, definitely bring soft sided luggage so that it conforms to the front or rear compartment. The rear gets very warm for obvious reasons, so divide your luggage by things that can get warm vs things that cannot. NCM staff can install any accessories for you like Novistretch bra or front radiator guards. They can even put other spoilers on for you ( like the high wing). Shane coordinates all of this with you when you get closer to your date. The museum is great, and the whole experience was unforgettable. Closest thing I’ve done before this was European deliveries at BMW in Munich and Porsche in Zuffenhausen. NCM honestly did it best!

The trunk fits 2 large carryons with lots of nooks for extra shoes etc and could lay a couple of jackets on top of that frunk will also fit a carryon but we put a small cooler and a gym bag with toiletries along with some detailer and glass cleaner etc on our recent road trips . Avoid liquid containers or heat sensitive things in the trunk it can get warm in there . You will be surprised how much will will fit in both front and back . Only downside is not much interior room
