Default 70th Bling

I have a 23 ELB vert and thought about putting the 70th emblems/center caps on the car. The door emblems are a couple of days out. I'm looking for opinions from the seasoned enthusiasts on this platform. Is this a corny molestation or a tasteful up grade? No worries as your honest opinions wont hurt my feelings

I'm of the opinion that if the emblems came on the car fine, if not, don't add them.

I know 90% of 2003 owners, 2013, 2023 will call their vehicle the XX Anniversary Edition even though they didn't opt for the XX Anniversary pkg. To me, that's tacky but others feel differently.

It is your car, and if you like the look of the emblems on it, go for it. You are the only one that matters.

When I had my 2003, I installed the 50th fender emblems on it - I liked the look but I never claimed it was a 50th AE car.

I do not favor adding any additional badges, the C8 has that so called exotic look just keep it that way. I think the Corvette crowd in general has a tendency to always want to add badges, etc, sometimes good is good enough.

I’m waiting for them to arrive and then I will install them (with RAPID geolocation coordinates). Where did you get the center caps?

And for what’s it worth, by definition 2023 cars are anniversary cars, it also says it on my back window.

It’s fine. It’s not like you are putting L88 badges on a small block car or listening to confessions and not being a priest. It’s the 70th anniversary of the corvette, so have at it.

Personally, I like minimal badging, but it’s your car, enjoy.

Put them on! It’s your car, do what you like. The caps and emblem do look good.

And very tastefully done at that, any more is 'Over-Kill' / 'Cheesy' IMO. What's next, one of those banner decals going across the top of the windshield stating 70th Anniversary? To each their own!

Do whatever makes you happy.

I was on the bubble between getting a 22 and a 23. I was just able to get a 2022 before the model year change, which is fine with me because I didn't want more words and badging on my car. In fact, I even removed the "CORVETTE" script off the rear to help clean up the busyness of the tail end.

I prefer a nice clean design.

It looks nice go for it, I personally don’t see nothing wrong with that is not like you are putting something that said 70th anniversary edition trying to deceive people (not that it matters, it’s your car) plus I see many putting Z51 decals on the front lips or the side skirts and it also looks nice so go at it my friend make your car your own

70 is just a number and the car is no different then one built the year before. People used to put on z51 badges and I never got that either. just my opinion. it's your car

I’m usually not a fan of add-ons but these seem pretty tasteful. OK with me.
