Default Soler Throttle Controller

Hi, anyone buy and install Soler Performance Throttle Controller? Any feedback appreciated.

I know what they are designed to do and not do having had a Vitesse in my C7. So purists don’t need to explain the no HP increase or butt the Dyno affect. The fact is it really wakes up the pedal and the feel of the engines acceleration curve, if you have never tried one no need to chime in.😇

thanks in advance

Big fan of the Soler Throttle Controller. Mike from Soler recommended the Soler Throttle Controller set at SP.5 when I initially ordered from him a ported LT5/ZR1 95mm Throttle Body that matches up with a ported Intake Manifold.

Didn't expect to be overwhelmed with the TC but
the C8 feels entirely different, quick to respond to even the slightest pedal pressure especially in corners and exiting. The aggressiveness of the C8 is awakened.

SP.5 keeps the DCT RPM's higher for an extended period, too high and too long for me after a throttle up. Reduced the setting to SP.2 that drops the RPM sooner and is perfect for me.

The other day for the heck of it set the unit back to OEM. I can tell you the factory C8 acceleration setting has a lot of lag. Out of the 37 TC sensitivity settings I prefer #20 that is SP.2. Can't imagine setting this device in the 30's which is named Ludicrous for good reason.

Great mod and wouldn't go without it plus not a whole lot of cost for this item.

Default I added one to Camaro SS

Thanks for details! I added the Vitesse TC to my Camaro SS and used the language you used. “Woke up”the car beyond anything I expected! Also said was best $150 mod you can do!!!! Enjoy and hope to install soon after delivery but with cold weather likely will be next Spring.

Google Soler on MECF. There's a detailed review and a lot of comments from people who have bought one. I'm very happy with mine.

Default Red Mist…

Thanks, what setting do you use on your C8 ? Have throttle body too or just the throttle controller?

Isn’t changing the throttle body on the C8 a real “b”?
More than what the effects are worth?

Default Bet Throttle Controller is more noticeable

I am betting Throttle Controller alone will provide a more night and day feel than throttle body alone…

Only the controller, not the throttle body. Changing that out on the HTC is more work than I'm willing to do right now. And I"m happy with the car as it is now. Might be better with both, but the controller has given me what I want.

I've settled on Sport 5 (on a scale of 0 - 9). Anything higher than that and it gets a little touchy trying to get smooth starts in daily driving. Higher numbers might be OK in certain situations, where starting from rest isn't an issue, but too high and it becomes very difficult to modulate the throttle. Even on a track you don't want a hair trigger response.

I did try Sport 9 once, just for grins. It'll bring grins and giggles, but it's way t0o abrupt to be practical except in straight line acceleration.

(If my wife is going to be in the car, I'll knock it down to Sport 3, to make sure things are nice and smooth. Even at 3 it's noticeably more responsive than the OEM.)

I used to be like "those guys" until I tried a Vittesse Throttle Controller. Absolutely love them now. Currently have the Soler Version in the C7 Stingray 7 Speed... I even used them on both my C7 Z06s... one was an auto and one a 7 speed.

What do you like better on Vitesse? I had one on my Camaro SS. Figured I try Soler on my C8 as they seem to get positive feedback. I also have not received response to emails to Vitesse over last three weeks. Thanks

Does this device actually reduce the input latency?

From their site it appears to map voltage from some throttle input to a higher voltage, so the ECM opens the TB more than it normally would. Leads me to think it wouldn't affect the latency, but I could be misunderstanding things.

Default Not sure of technicals

It vastly increases the throttle/ pedal response and provides the feeling the engine has really been unleashed! It is the best mod for the money having had one in my Camaro SS.

They both install the same, but I like the Soler better. I haven’t looked in a while, but if I’m not mistaken it’s even less money..

I have the Bluetooth version of the Soler Throttle Controller on my C7 and it works great. Much better throttle response from the car.

it just makes the throttle response quicker, so each mode will feel more responsive, even track.

I didn't like the looks of the soler, but have heard of it quite a bit. Looks too much like the Chinese windbooster to me, rebranded. I tried the Maxx Boost for my '12 Camaro, three easy modes, no bluetooth, no confusion, worked great for me. https://www.sawyertuning.com/product...oller-booster/
Then again basic and simple operation is king to me, I don't need extra bells and whistles. The maxx boost cost me around $100 with some coupons i used if I recall correctly.
