Thanks for the reply. Absolutely not trying to rush, I just didn’t know that it’s an all day deal. It’s the first time we’ve done this. I assumed it was a museum tour and car overview.
I should have said ‘likely trailering home’ as we live 3 hours north and weather in February is predictably unpredictable. I don’t want to drive her home in poor conditions as she’ll be a garage queen, along with her 2000 C5 big sister. It’s not a snow mobile it’s a sports car! Plus I have a diesel truck and enclosed trailer rented in case the weather is inclement.
how do you plan on getting out of the car once in the trailer?
BTW - I did the museum delivery and the laps on the race track and were out of there by 2 pm.
However the factory tour wasn't available that day
…Cars are meant to be driven and I was blown away by how comfortable this one is…
And if you have the means to take the Ron Fellows, Corvette C8 driving school in Nevada, it takes your appreciation of the capabilities of the car to an entirely different level! They have stock Z51s and push those cars hard all day every day! Talk about capability-the car is truly meant to be driven extremely hard and can do well more than most people will ever attempt. It’s amazing.
I plan to do the R8C delivery sometime this year. I have been wondering how much time to plan for, i want to do it all!
That said can i schedule the track times or museum tour the day before or day after to allow more time and no rush? Staying two or three nights isnt a problem at all.
Im planning on driving my new C8 back to Kansas when I'm ready tho head home. This truly is planned tho be an adventure!
I just called the motor sports park yesterday and yes - you can schedule whenever you want. You can also reschedule as needed.
Our plan is this (based on feedback from this post):
Day 1 - Arrive in town the day before. Get a hotel. Grab a meal. Obsess on the NCM web cams as we see our car on the floor for the next day.
Day 2 - Allocate the ENTIRE day to the delivery experience. We have chosen the early delivery slot. We’ll do the museum tour, factory tour (if available), car overview, drive out etc.
Day 3 - Track laps. We scheduled the earlier slot. You get 1 person at the 1/2 price ($150). We’ll also pay for my wife to partake (some of us were lucky enough to marry a car person too). We’ll leave that afternoon for the drive home.

Definitely planning on Ron Fellows in the late summer/fall for both my wife and me.
