My new c8 is on a transport from NH to las vegas will be here in a week or so. It's black so i wanted to add ppf to the entire front up to doors and mirrors then ceramic coating to rest of car. I am surprised at cost and living in Las Vegas you have to be careful. Could members please let me know what they paid for similar installation. And any members who had work done in Las Vegas who they used.Last part of question one shop wants 900. extra to do the lower front grill. Total estimate i have is 5500.
I got my black C 8 in December. It is sleeping for the winter. I got a price for $3200 including taxes for expel (track pack) and ceramic. I have been told that you have to make sure who is doing the work. I visted several shops and observed their work. Going to get it done in April.

Your quote seems high. I had the entire front end, rocker panels/lower part of door, mirrors, and behind the rear wheels done with Xpel Ultimate for $2K. Did not have ceramic coating put on, but hard to believe that would cost an additional $3500.
My PPF - front bumper, front fenders, frunk hood, headlights, 5VM splitter and 5VM side skirts - cost $2600. Then good paint correction (the car was 6 months old by then) and Ceramic Pro lifetime ceramic coating was another $3500. I knew going in that a high quality job was going to be expensive but I plan to keep the car forever and I am very happy with the result.
Just drive the car and enjoy it. You're not going to recoup this on trade-in so unless you intend to keep it forever as a garage queen or sell it yourself put the money in a treasury and use it for future vacations.

That’s just insane, I would do it myself before I would pay that
Had mine done the week before Christmas. Expel Ult on total front end + mirrors, A pillars, side skirts and rear spoiler. Ceramic coating, wheels off, on entire car. 10 year warranty on everything, $3800. I watched the owner fold ppf corners; spot light on head, surgeon glasses, scalpel and cigar torch. Absolute perfection!

Some of us do drive our cars and enjoy them, but cant stand the front getting tons of rock chips. My PPF saved my front end from 15-20 chips in a single instance when a flatbed 18wheeler who hadnt bothered to clean his rig off got on the highway and proceeded to pass people like he was in a small car.
That was less than 3 months into owning it. Had I not had the PPF the entire front end would have looked like a 5-10 year old car easily. Instead it was a paultry $800 to replace that piece of PPF.
I'll own the car for at least 10 years most likely, and I dont want rock chips out the wazoo year 10 any more tham I would year 1. Whether I recoup the cost when I sell is irrelevant to me and probably most people who opt for PPF.
The new stuff is self healing so swirls from being slightly lazy when I wash it disappear with a little time in the TX sun. Car looks show room new after 5k miles and not bothering with "touchless" washing hassles.

If I get rock chips bad enough, I will just get the front end repainted. Mine is not a daily driver, but for those that are I can understand wanting the protection. For me its the risk vs cost. My Vettes very rarely saw the expressway, mostly weekend driving on nice, seldom traveled roads. The risk of multiple rocks chips, for my type of driving is minimal and not worth the cost of PPF.
As much character as a hard 10 knockout who loses all her teeth to a meth addiction and has a few track marks on her arms.
No thanks, I'd rather keep Stormy looking showroom 10/10 fresh if possible. To each their own though.
If a good shop were close I'd consider it. I keep my distances following other cars, always have a good coat of wax and garaged. They have rock marks that remind me of the trips we've had. But none ride this low so there is that.

No worries. My full car ppf is probably overkill, but front bumper and hood are crucial IMO, followed by rocker panels, and lastly front fenders. The roof, doors, rear deck and rear bumper are far less likely to get dinged up. I just went full car so I could be semi lazy with how I wash it.
