Anyone add an audible (beep beep) interior sound alert?
I’m well aware you can press the front camera button for display on the screen. Prefer having a sound too - while parking and or someone carelessly walks in front.

There was/is a product called the Curb Alert that provided an audible tone as the car approached an obstacle. I know it was available for earlier generations, but not sure about the C7. Could be worth looking into that product.

I meant for a C8, not C7.
I’ll check Curb Alert for a C8. And if a match let you all know.

Used Curb Alert on C5, C6 and Mazda 6. Works great. On the C8 the front camera works great. Not only for detecting curb but also for painted line at front of parking spaces.

Thank you.
The curb alert would work in pretty much any car. It is / was and optical system, sending out an infrared beam and detecting when it reflected back from an object in front of the car. it worked, but had a tendency to false alarm if you were driving into the rising or setting sun.

It’s more for curb spoiler alerts. Not so much the corners of the bumpers as well.
An audio shop installed a different device to friends Porsche infotainment (PCM) on his Boxster. That allowed live camera views displayed with an audible sound through the car speakers. No button pushing for a camera.
I was hoping there was a similar one for a C8 that someone used.

Curb Alert would solve your dilemma. The audible requires nothing from you
I don’t find pushing the forward camera button to be a burden.

Agree. How lazy are we Americans becoming when pushing a button is considered too hard, and paying attention to where your car is relative to curbs is too challenging. If the C8 requires too much manual effort, maybe people should be looking at a Tesla with FSD.

Classless response. Such arrogance.
Especially since the question wasn’t related to curbs.

Totally agree with Muricans being lazy and wanting those unnecessary side view and rear view mirrors also. Can just turn your damn neck and look at the side lanes and behind your cars. What will they want next…blind spot monitors?
^^^ was a time when lots of cars were built so you could see out with/by turning the head/neck. that seems to have disappeared from the "design" of a lot of vehicles, not just cars...just sayin' YMMV
