I didn't include the red engine cover when I purchased my C8. However, the more I see them, the more I like them! There are a ton of sites that sell the covers. Any suggestions on a reputable site with a good price? Thank!!
Not an answer to your question but I'm planning on painting mine. Search the forum for idea and actual paint that folks used. I think the ones done by folks here look as good or better than the ones you can buy.

I bought mine form Shop Chevy Parts. BUT check by putting part number into google and you'll get many who sell and find the least expensive.
The key is what red should you get? With my Long Beach Red or any red body color it would clash with the edge red valve covers. Si which red? I picked Edge Red to match the valve covers as they are close. Not really an issue with body color as it's separate with black and further away. Your choice.
I picked Edge Red. Looks fine. Two Reds can clash.
My LBR body far enough away and separated with black no real clash.
One difference to note is the "Corvette" emblem pieces are silver on the stock covers. Most of the do-it-yourself stock painted covers have that part taped off so it remains silver. The GM option cover has the black emblems - which to me look a lot nicer.
I have ordered from them before with no issues. Currently $369.99 on sale which is a darn good price.
Thanks for part number.
Spent a few minutes doing the google search I suggested.
Where I bought mine Shop Chevy Parts was the cheapest at $371
Many at $401 to $405
GM list is $495. Any dealer will sell at that price with usually no shipping cost (as they order but may get shipped free.) When I was getting a mechanics discount (never was a mechanic but some would give it anyway) would get 50% off but today maybe 25% for this type of item. Never hurts to ask. Parts departments will typically give 10% or 15% if you ask!
@tadda where did you get the red caps? Are they from Amazon?
Aluminium Alloy Engine Oil Cap Radiator Cap Windshield Washer Tank Cover Trim For Chevrolet Corvette C7 2014-2019
I purchased those caps for the C8 on Amazon however it looks like the C8 caps are currently unavailable....The caps for the C7 will not fit the C8 properly!
I just found the same caps I ordered for my C8 on EBAY but they are showing out of stock as well...
I got my custom painted engine cover from Race Ready Panels. Some say they are a little pricy but in their case you absolutely get what you pay for and more. Their paint job is 2nd to none and fitting of the mid-engine Corvette.
I painted mine. Used Dupli-Color paint cans from AutoZone. I think they cost $10 each, so $30 for three. The dilemma was, do I paint it to match the valve covers (Edge Red), or to match the body color (Torch Red)? I decided the engine cover is easily visible with the hatch closed, but the valve covers weren’t so easily visible when the hatch is closed. So I went with Torch Red to match the body.

Dave,
I too painted my engine cover. I used markers to color the flags. It really finishes off the cover. I too am from the Boston area. I am willing to meet you so you can borrow or take the markers or you can buy them on Amazon. I think they only 14 bucks.
Maybe I should say nothing and you like the flags painted. You can PM me.
