Is it possible to swap out the GT1 seats for the GT2?

Has anyone done this?

Never done it, but will you need some wiring for a GT2 seat that the plain seats did not have ?

Is this a 1LT or 2LT car, I think the GT1s come in two versions.

I believe the trim level (1LT or 2LT) determines the degree of seat functions (wiring), not whether GT1 or GT2. So should be an easy swap as long as both are the same trim level.

Short answer, yes. They'll bolt right up. If your car is a 2LT, all the seat functions will work (heat, ventilation, lumbar, memory, etc. If your car is a 1LT, none of the extra functions that come with the 2LT will work, but the standard adjustments should work the same as the GT1 seats. The only question, which I don't know the answer to, is whether the electrical connectors are the same. The 2LT level seats may have the same connectors for the adjustments, and separate connectors for the extras. Or they might have different connectors that consolidate everything together.

Good answer by Red Mist Rulz. Makes sense that the seats would bolt in, and that the connections would be different depending on trim level and seat functions available.

I have comp seats in a 3 LT, I would trade down to GT2 if this works. Don't get me wrong, the comp seats are amazing, but the thigh bolsters are pretty tall and you have to get up over them getting out ad drop in when getting in the car. To me, no big deal but the wife hates them and ill probably never track the car.
