Default Callaway vs ERay

is anybody on the deposit list for a Callaway SCC8 thinking of switching to an ERay with similar but different performance, because with ERay you get the wide Z06 body ?

E-Ray pretty much killed any thought of doing a Callaway or Lingenfelter blower on my C8. For roughly the same money you get the Z06 wider body, wheels & tires, and carbon ceramic brakes. The bigger question is which will I be able to get first: an E-Ray or Z06 (~800 on Ciocca's list), and can I really bring myself to pass on the FPC LT6.

At this point the only thing that will take me off of the Callaway list, are the results once released. Native tune TT options are not far off and that will definitely put me at the power level I like. I really want the wide body but maybe its something that can be pieced together at a later time. The eRay is going to be a great car it just isn't my preference of power delivery.

I was heavily considering the callaway sc kit until eray was announced. Same price and get Z06 body, CCB, awd for an insane 0-60, low 10 1/4 car. Would much rather have Eray (if z06 allocation remains impossible). Feel the Eray/Z06 would retain more value too- because it’s oem sticker price rather than an aftermarket add.

If the supercharger was priced at maybe 15-20k, different story.

I suspect the same thing will happen that did with C6...a GS or wide body version will come in a few years. Then the Callaway option becomes exponentially more appealing.

I didn't care for the narrow C6, C7, or C8. Wide body fixes them all.

No got my wife a 70th annv HTC going to Callaway, got on their list early, and her 70th HTC will look good next to my 70th annv Z06 coupe in the garage, only hybrid I want will have to have more hp than my sf90

ERay over Callaway. Wide body, great performance, CCB standard. What is there to think about.

uhm, getting one before 2-3 years. I’ll send my C8 to Callaway and when/if my number is called on an ERay, I’ll decide then. Gave up on Z06 allocation and suspect ERay will be just as elusive.

That said, Dementia Joe and the Ho are doing their part to open up lists … crushing the banking system; killing USA energy policy; taxes; …
