Okay so my speakers are giving feedback with the volume at zero. Chevy took a look said it needed a software update and it was good to go. Wrong obviously, its like loud static and sometimes a whiney noise. So I took it back and they said it's a part failure. The amplifier needs to be replaced. Sounds nice and simple, expect it has now been 2 months and the parts ETA is unknown. I contacted GM directly and their response is, "No ETA, but we can message you weekly to let you know." What do I do? I can't drive the car at all, the feedback comes on randomly and gives me a heartattack everytime. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 🙂
Her office has a whole staff dedicated to dealing with problems customers have. Others on the forum have gotten pretty quick resolution after contacting them.

I’m also having the problem. Seems worse when on a rough road. If you find a solution let me know. I’m believing my dealer will ignore it.
I found out it wasn’t the radio. I have a problem with something loose in the dash. The dealership will need to look into it.
You can't really turn off "the radio" If you power it off by holding down the volume button, it powers the entire infotainment system off. No Nav, no Android Auto or CarPlay, no Audio from other sources.
OP: One thought. There are small microphones in each door, at the upper rear. Those are probably where the feedback is coming from. My understanding is that with some interior pry tools you can get enough access there to unplug one of the wires going to the mic without having to pull the whole door panel off. That might solve the problem. Maybe not what you want as a permanent solution, though.

The 'noise' is likely coming from the amp, not the radio tuner itself. It is not likely an audio feedback issue. The C4 radio amps used to have similar problems due to cheap capacitors. Wasn't a cheap fix unless you were handy with a soldering gun. Yes the amp is used by all infotainment components.
