I have not noticed any significant difference between having Recirculation On or Off, in the Climate Controls. It seems that even with Recirculation On, a lot of the outside air is still coming into the cabin; no help in blocking outside foul smells. Does anyone else experience this issue?

I got my 2024 HTC 8 days ago. Today was a little cold out during my ride. I set the auto-temp to 72, pushed the AC button so the compressor would not kick on, and the recirculation light was ON. It seems to me that once the cabinet got up to temperature, I could feel cold air coming from the vents. It should be warm-cabin air, recirculating. I pushed the recirculation button and the light went off. It seemed better.
I don't like the feeling of cold outside air when the auto-heat is shut off.
I've had some cars where the outermost dash vents are always flowing outside air (heated or cooled as called for), and only the inner ones recirculate. In those, you had to manually shut off the flow at the two vents. I don't know if the C8 works that way.
OH I was just talking about this, I have to go thru an area on the Jersey turnpike near newark NJ ( IT STINKS as its near a marsch) Needless to say every other car we own we put it on recirc when getting near and the smell never gets in the car. Our C8 the stick come in the car. the recirc never seals up 100%
