Default PPF Question

Anyone who has PPF'd the front of the C8......do you have the Corvette logo removed from the hood and reapplied over the film or cut around it?

I got mine done and they took the logo off, but I decided to leave it off.

Don't do the cut around, it will be a nightmare to keep the edges clean.

My emblem was removed and replaced on the PPF. Otherwise, every edgeline will attract and show dirt, especially in such a high-profile location. Here's an after picture photo bombed by a mosquito.

Been having my cars 100% clear wrapped for over 20 years, they always remove the emblems and reapply on top of plastic

You expressed my thoughts exactly. And without the emblem the lines on the hood stand out much more.

They should remove the emblem and then reapply it (with new adhesive tape) if you want it.

You need to discuss with your PPF installer because the computer drawings for the Expel PPF bumper kit comes with the logo cutout in the film. The installer can leave the cutout in place or remove the cutout from that section of the drawing, then remove and reinstall the logo. Specifically ask for the emblem to be removed and reinstalled. Same with trunk lid kit drawings. The C O R V E T T T E lettering on the back must be removed and I like mine not reinstalled as those are a nightmare to keep clean.

Have them remove it and reapply after the film has been applied - less lines to catch crud in

Take measurements and pictures of the original before removing. It's pretty easy, just measure from the front tip of the bumper to the bottom tip of the emblem. Then when you go to replace, measure the same distance, put a small piece of blue tape for reference line, and set bottom tip of emblem just on the top line of the blue tape. Also, match the bend between the two flags to the bumper crease for a straight fit.

mine is cut out...
I think if I could do it over again I would have it removed, and maybe keep it off.
