Default AFE Mach Force Exhaust Review

Hey All,
Since I didn’t find too many YT videos on this exhaust I wanted to give you my opinion.
As most people fork over the money for the Borla Atak or the Corsa extreme, I decided to go with AFEs Mach Force, part# 49-34124-B due to the sound being to my liking and the lower cost.
First off: You will most likely get the CEL and will need to have the Dealer perform the Re-Learn procedure for the exhaust valves as I will be getting this done next week,
Also during this time of the CEL, I noticed remote start is disabled and will not work, I disconnected the battery for 20min, reconnected and the remote start worked but no CEL. Power off and start back up and CEL is back and Remote start disabled again.
Next, the sound:
With the valves closed it sounds really sporty and prob 4-5dbs louder then the performance exhaust.
With the valves open, it’s absolutely insane. It is not for the faint of heart.
At low rpm there’s tons of deep, deep gurgles when downshifting.
If your not a fan of pops and gurgles this may not be for you.

I noticed after about 25min of driving around town, valves open, it actually starts to make me a bit nauseous.
But still refuse to go back into Touring mode…Lol

i am very happy with this exhaust, only thing that bugs me is AFE Tech support who I spoke with had

no clue why the CEL would come on and never heard of the GM Re-Learn procedure for the exhaust valves.

My CEL codes right now are P31DB, P31E1, and P31E8.

I hope my take on this exhaust helps whom ever is in the market for an aftermarket exhaust.

The remote start won't work with a CEL. Once the relearn is done it will be fine.

That is the same exhaust I have on my 2022 HTC and startups in my mode or sport are awesome. I also get to hear the exhaust with just the rear window down, can not do that with a coupe. If the Cels come back as they did on mine I put in sims and all is great. I also went the AFE exhaust because no one else has it in my area and a great choice. Is quiet at 80 even in Z or Track mode until you get on it. Is great around town to hear this exhaust, especially downshifting when coming to a stop in traffic it’s gets attention.

I will have to ask Lethal Performance as they did it as part of the install.

Great that you like the exhaust. More options for an exhaust is good.
