The cars are available, you just have to find them. Everyone wants to go through the big Corvette dealers however their lists are still so long. When I reached out last month I was told 8-12 months…. I reached out to Art Moehn and they had my allocation within a week of deposit and the car being built about 5 weeks later. If all goes well it will be a little over 2 month wait with these guys

Finding a C8 on a dealer lot at MSRP is rare and is usually the result of someone backing out at the last minute. I found one on a dealer lot a couple of years ago at MSRP where someone had backed out but it sold in less than four hours. The demand is still way ahead of supply.

I wouldn’t say rare… there are a few posted daily on multiple Facebook groups. Either way you can order them and be driving in 3 months. This is typical for any vehicle in the current market. Z06 or E-Ray is a different story

Like to add, the 10K over MSRP Vetts in stock are not flying off the showroom floor. The only two Chevrolet dealerships within 40 miles of me (Smith Mountain Lake VA) both have new Vetts on their floor, all three cars been sitting in showroom almost a month. Originally told they would be gone within 3 days. CLEARLY the "have to have it now" crowd has softened. At this point, why purchase a 2023 yr model for 10K over msrp. ??

That depends on where you live and if the dealer has an allocation. I know you can't walk into a dealer in Metro Atlanta and get a C8 in 3 months at MSRP. I helped two guys with their C8 builds last year. They both walked into two different rural dealers in November 2021, spoke with the Sales Manager, got an allocation at MSRP, and they had their cars by the end of March 2022. Conversely, a friend of mine called me and asked me about my C8 last June. I told her to get on a list somewhere quick. She laughed and told me her parents were best friends with the owner of a local dealer in Metro Atlanta and she could get an allocation quickly. She sent me a message last week with a picture of her new C8 because she had just taken delivery - 9 months later.

I see a lot of posts In those FB C8 groups where if you research them the person posting is lying. I've dropped out of several of them because this forum is so much better.

Well it turns out it wasn’t a sold order after all. I Purchased the car it’s almost identical to the one I have except a loaded 3LT

thats the beauty of the internet… you don’t need to rely on your local dealer, instead you can shop throughout the country. I’m a 12 hour drive from the dealership I purchased from.

the posts on those groups are legit. They are from actual dealerships. If you need a specific build you can wait three months, otherwise there are a good variety cars available for immediate purchase at MSRP

Please post the dealers. You've been a member here for a very short time. The shortest wait now at MSRP for a C8 with the spec that you want is 8-12 months. If you post the dealers you might help a forum member out.

wrong. I’m not going to do your work for you. What does the length of my membership have to do with anything?? And FYI I was actually a vendor on here 15 years ago when I had my C5 🙄

there are plenty of C8 Facebook groups with active dealers posting cars daily. Join the groups and see what’s available. I ended up placing an order with Art Moehn in Michigan. Deposit was mid February and my car was built this week. Should be able to fly out and pick it up hopefully in a few weeks.

not sure why everyone wants to get on these massive lists and wait another year. The dealers are posting cars on the lots, and daily there are dealers posting they have allocations ready to take orders

I live in a pretty decent metro area with a good amount of people with deep pockets (there is at least 1 dealer for almost every high-end brand you can think of) and other than what used to be Kerbeck (about 90 miles from me) you are probably not going to get a C8 (new or used) at MSRP. You might have trouble getting a Kia EV or Telluride (I could list a lot of other cars as well) at MSRP. Try buying a new 911 (I'm not talking about the GT series cars) if you even can. I was at my friends BMW dealership last Saturday (I was there to buy a car) and they told me that the cars that are built in the U.S. factory are coming in greater numbers but the ones from Germany and Mexico are still not even coming close to meeting demand. I'm afraid we still have a way to go before it becomes a buyers' market again.

again, wrong. There are multiple dealers with cars on the lots and taking orders for 2-3 month waits at MSRP

I waited 8 months for my wife’s Kia Carnival SX Prestige…. It’s definitely not a buyers market, but this situation is not unique to Corvettes. It’s just funny how so many here just sit back and THINK C8’s aren’t available, and how they are still over MSRP. It’s just not true. Then when someone says otherwise we are somehow lying?? 🤷🏻‍♂️
