Stereo Question

I have a 22 HTC and recently noticed when putting the top down the stereo gets louder and baser. When putting the top back up it back up the volume goes down and sounds tinner and this is while parked. Is this
my imagination?

Not your imagination. Corvette's have done this since at least the C6, maybe even C5, as the Bose system attempts to compensate for top-down driving.
