1LT experiences?
Note the two white trucks, one parked on the driveway and another parked parallel to the curb:
Now notice the unbroken continuity of that full truck appearing in the rear view (circled in orange) with some redundancy of it partially reappearing in the side view (also circled in orange). My 1LT has the mirrors adjusted to have the same continuity of coverage as the camera mirror but spread across all 3 mirrors:
Now look at the convex mirror accessory showing the truck parked parallel to the curb (circled in orange). This covers the blind spot I mentioned earlier which not even the rear view camera would fully cover:
There are a few intersections in our town where we both have to be careful.
I have set the outside mirrors to look all the way to the side since they are not really needed for normal highway driving, and it reduces the blind spot.
However, I love the LCD mirror on the highway and at night. The fact that cars behind you won't make you blind if they keep their high beam on is a godsend and it makes the car considerably less tiring at night. It's also much easier to clean the camera if it gets dirty on a long trip than cleaning both rear windows.
I recently discovered that the left outside mirror on the 2LT also has a night mode... Nice touch.
I am older (71) and I have progressive lenses but I adjusted to the LCD immediately. I know some people have a hard time adjusting.
This is really the only thing I am missing when I drive my wife's 1LT, even though the MSRC is nice too.

.I definitely wish I had memory seats. That's probably the one thing I really would like from the fancier trim. Mainly because I assume it has a comfort exit feature, if not you can always save a memory button for it. I'm a tall/big guy so it's hard for me to get out in my driving position. I tend to sit a lot closer than people my height usually do, because I like having a firm foot on the dead pedal and to not have to reach for the steering wheel, should have a good wrist break over the wheel. Most big guys like the "gangster lean" I find heh. So getting in and out is a chore of having to push the button to move the seat back.
Homelink is a cheap fix, I just installed it on mine and made a video for it, it's like 30 minutes of work and a good source of power for a camera/radar detector (auto shuts off 10 minutes after you get out).
Other's have found this works for them - once they try. Have to tilt the mirror set to "real mirror" as if trying to look at yourself. Then flip to "TV Mirror." It's like looking at a TV from the front versus on the side at an angle. Give it a day or so and it's clear as a bell- at least for most folks! Start with 1:1 view and then set to wide view for great safe driving.
