Default Stupid Question # 462

If you jump into your car hit start and get the C8 picture on your instrument panel then immediately hit your seat memory recall does the picture get static as the seat moves forward and the steering wheel moves down? Note: this doesn't happen after 2 or 3 seconds and the gages replace the C8 picture !

I will have to pass on this question as I am no longer able to "jump" into my car.

I never move that quick. I get in, buckle up, hit the start button. Wait for the seat to move forward and SW to move into position. Wait for the RPM to normalize. Then leave. Never had any static on the IP.

I always remote start my car as I approach the car, this gives the engine a few more seconds to warm up and stabilize before I get in and am ready to go.

Oh come on, we all know you start the car using the keyfob so you get the full audio experience of the cold start

Thank you! Now, I have a reason to try remote-start.

Remote start also allows me to scare folks that are ogling over the car as I walk up to it.

I can relate to that - getting old does have its challenges.

Not that I have any technical reason to do it but I push the start button without my foot on the brake to get the car booted up. So many computers to start up and communicate with everything. Then I start it up and wait until the RPMs settle before I get going. Quirky I know.
