Default PDR questions

I have shadowing in the upper left corner for some reason. I also put the car in park with engine running, the thumbnail recordings are greyed out. Once I shut the engine down I can play them, but the manual says car cannot be in motion.

Probably sounds stupid but is the camera lens clean?

Good question. Car is basically new and I need to find its location, guessing near the rear view mirror based on the reflections. I did have a stripe of tint installed across the top of the windshield, wonder if that has to do with it.

The camera for the PDR is up where the rear view mirror is. Most likely that corning shadow is from your tint.

If the thumbnail recordings are grayed out it's because the PDR is in record mode, (you probably have it set to record anytime the engine is running). Stop the recording and you should be able to click on them to view. I had the same problem and I thought something was wrong until I figured this out.

I looked at the camera and tint and in the picture you’ll see nothing except bugs in front of the camera. The tint stops before the black portion of the factory opaque “paint”. I don’t understand the shadow. Thanks to Halo the grey thumbnails now makes.

So, today I reviewed my recordings back to delivery and this was present then. Am I the only one with this? It doesn’t make sense as the lens seems clear. Is there a way to adjust the angle? It must be barely catching the black opaque paint on the windshield.

My PDR doesn't do this. Its called vignetting:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vignetting
I'm not aware of any way to adjust the camera angle. If the windshield tint is across the whole windshield and not a tint strip then it shouldn't cause the problem. It sounds like a trip to the dealer is in your future.
