Default Rim Scuff Solution

Get it outa the way, lol. Has anyone messed up like like I have? Any solution or fix outside of taking it in to buff this out?

Carefully sand, polish, clear-coat. Or, the first two, and paint.

(fortunately, I had black wheels when I was forced into a curb by a nut-case driver and my issue was quick and easy to touch-up )

Second the rim stripes- has anyone had tires replaced though with these on? Is a whole new second set needed and how difficult is it to remove the rest of the old ones?

I did that on my DD. There is a local company that fixes it for about $100.

The scuffed rim surfaces the OP is showing won't allow the Tapework vinyl to adhere very well...

That said, I just installed the Tapeworks strips on mine and they look amazing...

For sure repairable . I've used Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists, more times than I care to admit (not the Corvette). ..

Also for prevention I've recently come across... rimsavers.com and rimblades

Google rim repair in your area. Should be able to make it look like new for under $150. The fact that it’s black makes it easier.

I second the idea of finding a rim repair shop. Most places charge around $100-150 per rim.

I would just contact a rim repair shop and have them do the wheel - will look like new when they are done.
