You can often save a couple of buck by ordering on[line, but paying at the gate is not bid deal. Depending on when you go, there could be a line, but it moves very quickly and is no big deal.

I don't know how long you're going for but if you'll be there for the 3 days look into the Fun Field ticket or the Reserved Fun Field if they still have any.

Yep, good to start looking for a hotel now. I usually pre-purchase, just seems less stressful, often quicker than taking chance on there being a line.

As everyone said, Motel reservations are the most important pre purchase if you are more than 2 hours away.
If you are not taking your Corvette, gate 7 has easy access and $10 per day parking. and easy access to the event.
along with gate 5
We stay at the Comfort Suites Down Town and have been roll overing our Reservations for the last 10 years
so we always have a room.
Before that we stayed at the Quality Inn
1825 Harrisburg Pike
Carlisle, PA 17015
because the owner was from out home town and always gave us preference
We go From Thurs-Sat because my wife likes the parade and the event downtown after the parade.
We pre order tickets at a discount right after news year, just because.
Been going since about 1980 something

You should be talking to AWE now and schedule an install appointment for Carlisle. I don't know about AWE, but most vendors don't charge an install fee when you are at Carlisle.

Install is free, had mine done last year, just go to AWE and order it prior. I suggest getting the heat shield blackouts and have them installed same time as the exhaust.

Yeah, I have heard the lodging portion of attending is the critical thing. Rooms fill up fast.
