New to forum, and as a six time Porsche guy new to Corvettes. Apologies if this is in the wrong place (which I've already done once). I've looked at a used 2023 2LT with Z51 performance package and suspension, GT2 seats, red calipers, black wheels and a few other items with 700 miles that I really like for $85K, which is just below new MSRP. The seller won't move from that price. It seems like an appropriate price to me but I've also seen a few posts where people dump on the idea of paying MSRP on a used C8 or saying that it should be high $70s. Thoughts on whether I'd be paying too much on this deal? Thanks much.
Actually, that's a good price for a well equipped current model C8 with only 700 miles.
Not saying you can't possibly find one at less cost if you scour the country looking, however if it fits your preferences (and sounds like it does) I'd jump on it before someone else does.

I’d just look into the MagRide option, it sort of completes the corvette so that all of ithe z51 performance can be exploited. It includes/enables a bunch of doohickeys that make the reviewers rave about the car.
With that said, even the base car is amazing, but for a 6x Porsche owner, your tastes might be a bit more refined than mine was (ex 370z driver) and could really appreciate the MagRide and how it works with the z51 package. I have z51 with mag ride and to me it just incredible.
next week we do track training at The Firm in Starke Florida then Ron Fellows in Vegas in the fall.
Seems like a fair deal to me if it checks all your boxes and you don't have to wait for maybe a year for your order on a new one unless you want a museum delivery or Ron Fellows driving experience. I traded my 2020 at msrp for a 2022 at msrp difference with 1000 miles. Did I get a great deal probably not but I thought it was a fair deal and it was better than anything else that I had run across. Just do a Carfax on the car to get a little history on it.

In today’s market, the price on that car is not unreasonable. With only 700 miles, as long as it was properly broken in, it is like a new car. Good luck on whatever decision you make.
At 85K I don't think it is a not a bad deal at all providing you like the color and options. I learned a long time ago that a good deal is just a state of mind, what you might think is a good deal someone may think is not. In the car world over the last couple of years that has changed quite a bit I would have never thought paying sticker price could be considered a good deal but with some cars (speaking of Porsche's try and buy a Cayman GT4RS) in today's market it is.

A used car at MSRP is a joke these days, move and and keep looking. Don't add to the flipping power....
What are you talking about? The OP states he can buy basically a new 2023 with 700 miles on it for UNDER MSRP.
How is that helping flippers?
It's used ...plain and simple...a used car loses 4K the day you drive it off the lot, but yet people keep stupidly paying close to or over for a used car. I get it, you all keep claiming hard to get, demand , gm work slow down...blah...blah...blah. Just under MSRP is not a good deal, I can get an brand new on for MSRP and even under MSRP if you look and for sure a used one for way under MSRP....so yeah, this person is trying to flip/get as much as possible, but if it's "just under msrp", it's someone trying to flip. go find a new one for 85K, it's not that hard if you put in the time.

That's funny right there.
Please tell me how the "flipper" is making any money on the deal after paying at least MSRP plus tax, license and dealer fees?
Please help out the guys here looking to buy post up all these under msrp new ones you know about along with pre-owned WAY Unders.

You can't get a new Corvette for under MSRP. If you are then consider yourself blessed or the dealership doesn't like profit. In this high demand market used corvettes are still selling over original MSRP for the most part. A current year model Corvette at or below MSRP with less than a 1,000 miles is a great deal. Just because you can't adjust and comprehend changes in the auto market doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

No, the joke is your representing yourself as someone who knows the C8 market when you don't. The more you post on this subject the more obvious it becomes how clueless you are.
How do you know he needs the front end lift? I've owned two C8s without it and haven't scrapped yet. In fact, I've owned 42 Corvettes and don't remember ever scraping the underside on any.
There is no way that I'd pay near MSRP prices for most new cars much less used ones. The C8 is an exception... the demand is greater than the supply, and they basically don't exist as new cars sitting on lots. I get why some people are willing to pay a premium on a used one -- they don't want to have to wait for a list and then an allocation and then for the car to be built.
Heck, I didn't want to wait either, but I found a dealer without a waitlist. I was initially worried (thinking I should have gone with MacMulkin), but I got an allocation today and the order was submitted successfully. To say I am excited is an understatement! (insert super happy dancing emoji)
Its the decision every buyer has to make. Paying MSRP and waiting or paying the extra and enjoying sooner. Personally I don't think that price is unreasonable and if its a car that fits your needs then I say go for it. All up to you if its worth it.
Having just finished a few months searching for and buying a very slightly used 2023 C8, I believe the market has changed significantly and there are deals to be had at well below MSRP (except for Z06).
