Thanks Ystayhm,
I did take the car to a dealer. They cleared the codes. We then were supposed to take it for a drive too se if they came back. That never happened because the corvette specialist was on light duty. They forgot to mention that after I drove to the dealer for 2 appointments. 2 days in a row. I did get the codes from an auto parts store prior to my visit to the Chevy dealer.
I went to the dealer the first day. They told me my apt was for the following day. I showed them the email they sent me with the reminder. All I got was a shoulder shrug. I went back the second day. They told me no worries they would diagnose the car and repair. That is when the codes were cleared in the service line. That is also when the corvette specialist came out and told me he was on light duty. I needed to make an apt a week later. They had no loaners and would not drive me home as I was too far. I was told to expect to spend the entire day there. They needed that time to diagnose the problem.
I returned home and got a notice from them. It was a bill. It showed I owed them nothing. It also showed they had checked the alignment and all sorts of other stuff as a courtesy. The car never left the service lane either day. I then received
my. Apt. Reminder for the upcoming apt. It stated I did not have the time to allow them to repair the car and therefore needed the third apt. I just don't understand how a dealer can lie, like this and get away with it.
Sounds like a shady dealer for sure. Gave you a courtesy alignment check while the car sat in the service lane??? Who knew that was possible!
Just clearing the codes is the equivalent to pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL. Sometimes the solenoids get unclogged on their own though, but it wouldn't be HARD for them to at least run the 3X flush procedure. There is ZERO materials cost to do that and it can help to clear the solenoids out, and I would call this "light duty" work!
I would run this up the flag pole to GM, maybe start looking for another service center to use.
I thought that the first DCT filter change was always 7500 miles - even in the 2020 model year. I do recall a tech link article to dealers about returning filters for analysis - I think that's over now. But that tech-link article, dated Sept 2021, indicates that the interval already is 7,500 miles, and is requesting that the filters from that first change be returned for analysis.
Because of the issues with the DCT, I paid to have mine swapped at 1700 miles after break in and also my PDI/courtesy dealer appears to have "ragged" on my C8 while it sat in his lot for 2 weeks and before I was able to pick it up. (this is evidenced by over 140 HARD ACCELERATION events logged in onstar at the 14mi ODO mark!!!)
So I had reason to suspect in my case it might be prudent to replace that filter early. I replaced it again at 7500 miles because of the warranty concerns of not following the recommended service intervals.
If my DCT fails, I will certainly be showing my OnStar driving record evidence to Mary Barra.
I have heard that the replacement trannies are rebuilt.
should that worry me?
All indications are GM is using new DCTs for warranty replacements. There isn't any evidence that they are using remanufactured units at this point in time.

I had mine changed at 2500 miles and 1 year, and claimed the free service at that time. Had an oil change at 2 years and 5000 miles at my expense. And will have oil change, trans fluid change, and DCT filter change at 3 years and and 7500 miles. Or, that is the plan right now. We'll see how close I am to 7500 miles at the three year mark. I may have to give some thought about how close is "close enough" to 7500 miles to count as the 7500 mile change.
Sorry to read about all your problems! Just got 2 codes 2818 2856 new Z has 180 miles on it. Hope it gets better service then your getting. Any updates?
Just got my car back from the dealer; The tranny tech explained that he ran software to realign the shift forks; and put the tranny in the fluid flush mode to clear any debris from the solenoids. He also explained that internal magnets capture this debris and holds onto it forever. No big deal had the car back in one day thanks to Schumacher Chevy in New Jersey.

Its true that there are magnets in the transmission fluid pan. Its true that the magnets will pick up and hold ferrous metallic material. But not any other type of debris. I don't think we have ever seen a clear indication of the nature of the debris that may clog the valves and/or be released by the hydraulic system flush. Its likely that debris other than ferrous metal will be trapped by the external canister filter if it makes it way to the fluid pan.
The dealer has had the car since Wednesday. I called to check and c how it was going. They told me everything was wonderful. They agreed the frunk was not opening correctly. When asked about the tranny. I was told they were looking into it.
arrrrrrggggggggg
Monday update,
I called Jenkins Chevrolet to get an update on my tranny problems. And the other problems it's having.
they have had the car since last Wednesday.
today they told me that because the dealer before them had cleared the codes they could do nothing. Gm would not pay them to do the work.. the gm resolution team told me to take the car to this dealer. 45 minutes away to get its checked out. The service writer an all too full of himself told me he was doing everything he could to talk gm into paying for the work. Did I mention the resolution team had set this up???
I am planning on picking the car up tomorrow if I do not hear back from the dealer or the resolution team by 5 today. I am hoping I can turn the car in as a lemon of it happens again.
I just hoping for a victory over sin and ignorance!!!
