Enjoy Cool Wives...
My wife. Hates Corvettes. She doesnt care that we own one, so it could definitely be worse.
Hates riding in it.
When riding in it, REALLY Hates acceleration.
Too Loud.
Too Uncomfortable.
H.A.T.E.S. the Top Down experience (fwiw she also hates driving in anything with the windows down, whether it's a Honda or a c8)
Cars are for transportation, blah blah blah
... now, I do enjoy that she wont ever drive it. But it really sucks having the c8 be off-limits for any kind of grand touring road trip fun. I see pics on the Facebook groups where lucky guys with car loving wives doing 1000 mile cross country trips, tail of the dragon, etc...
I bought the car to enjoy. I certainly do. It would be so much more fun with a wife that actually enjoys cars. My wife is more into art, Hates anything loud besides concerts.
so tthe car is more like my fortress of solitude as a result. Which is also fine... but I'd love to drive the c8 across the country. I have put 6k miles on my car since October 22'... still able to get it out a ton.

Unfortunately, she lost her battle with cancer on March 16. I miss her so much. Our lives together were richly blessed. She was not only my wife of nearly 51 years (9 days short of 51), she was my best friend, my soul mate and my travel companion. We traveled extensively. We have been on all 7 continents and witnessed so many extraordinary sights - 3 weeks on photo safari in Kenya and Tanzania; the Galapagos Islands and Machu Picchu; Australia/New Zealand and Fiji; China, Hong Kong and Macau; Antarctica and Patagonia; Iceland; the Passion Play and Danube River cruise; a 20 day Alaska Expedition Cruise; Spain, Italy and France; not to mention visiting the Hawaiian Islands just about every year for the past 20 years. We also traveled the U.S. extensively, starting when our 2 boys were young.
We were also blessed with two fine boys that we're very proud of. They each married a wonderful woman and they are daughters to us (the daughters we never had). We are also blessed with a fantastic granddaughter who (at 15 years of age) still likes to travel with us (I'm taking her to Hawaii this summer).
Whether they love your Corvette or not, cherish the time you have with them.

She approved this purchase...
She even smiled on a 100+ mile drive down the shore with the AWE Track Exhaust!
She likes my Porsche, but she loves the Vette.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
She was a rabid fan of my Viper.

Pretty lucky in that, my wife's the opposite. She loves the C8 even more than my C7. Wasn't a huge fan of the Miata cause it was a bit small though still enjoyed it. Though my wife also smokes Cigar's and plays occasional golf rounds with me as well. Can't imagine going through life with a partner who doesn't enjoy the things you enjoy.
But she's not interested in driving it, and not that interested in just cruising around in it, so I get ME time in the car, which is great. She's got her hobbies, too.

She liked it.
We have had a lot of fun trips in my vettes, she has a 2 seater convertable coupe as well so she gets her own fun on but doesn't like the 'anxiety' I give her when we take mine out lol. Life's about making memories so I always cherish our time together.
I'm so looking forward to taking trips in the C8 with my wife. We only do day trips in the C5 due to it's showing it's age a bit after 19 years.

On a cruise to St. Michaels', MD

Our C7 in Florida
Finally our C8...we've have shared so many great times together with our Corvettes and all the great friends we've made.
