Default tiny glitches

I have to start by saying best car, most in love with car I've ever owned...21C8, 8,600 miles, with good stuff...LOL

BUT...every once in a while, the seat doesn't go to the pre-set position...so I hit button 1, and it does...or the radio station plays but the stations don't show up on the screen in front of me, but when the car is turned off and on for the next drive cycle, the stations are back. AND that's about it, no other issues, runs great, drives great, and more smiles with the miles.

The C8 is so "electronically" designed, I don't want anyone messing around with anything that's not major....AND I CAN LIVE with these first world problems...

Has anyone else had any of these or other strange occurrences?

Thanks all

I had that seat issue on my C7, but not on my C8 (knock on wood). Seems to be a GM thing.

Electronic glitches seem to be part and parcel of modern cars, not just GM's. They are rolling computer networks, with literally hundreds of "computers" (chips), millions of lines of code, and multiple networks connecting it all together. All software has bugs (I say this after 40 years in IT). Most of them are so obscure they'll rarely impact you, but every now and then a certain combination of factors comes together to cause a "glitch."

Once or twice my infotainment screen has come up black when starting the car. The audio system forgets I had it on shuffle mode frequently (but not always). I think that's about it. Just something we have to live with. The service tech couldn't fix these even if he wanted to.

Yes, every now and then my seat does not move into position. I had a Cadiallc that never had the seat function properly. I did nothing about it for fear other issues would be created. However, for the C8, it is impoirant to me to have the seat move to an exit position and then return to a driving postion. That is very useful for getting in and out of the car. I doubt anything could be done about the rare and unrepeatable issue. I am fine with having to use the button every now and then.

As other have said, sometimes things just happen and if a random occurrence, they are hard to fix. Plus digging into something that only happens every once in a while may dig up other, unintended consequences. Sad to say, but unless it is a really bothersome issue, might be best to ride it out until it happens more frequently.

Gremlins exist in almost all cars. Good that it’s only a minimal inconvenience. Sometimes a reset/battery disconnect can fix them. At least that’s my experience as I hate going back to the dealership unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Welcome to "Rolling 'puters." It's a "feature" we don't have to pay extra for these days, called a GLITCH (as you correctly note). The real problems start when they are no longer intermittent.
