Assuming the car was not damaged when the dealer took possession on it when the engine failed they are responsible for it until it is delivered back to you.
The damage was more likely caused during the engine replacement than the transport IMO. However it should have been noted by the transport driver upon pickup. That said it is in a pretty hard place to see.
I would have it repaired and demand GM reimburse you and tell them to deal with the transport company they contracted.
I do remember suggesting on you other thread to fly out, inspect the car and drive it home for this very reason.
There is a procedure in the back of the owners manual for disputes. Basically, if you can't get GM to step up to address the issue then file a complaint with your state's BBB.

Plus one on your suggestion as I made the same recommendation to go to the dealership to take delivery following repairs for obvious reasons.

Guys that wasn't an option. I wasn't going to fly back to Texas to attempt to drive home for the second time. I wasn't going to chance breaking down again and going through that all over again. when I received the car in Colorado it was perfect. When it was towed in to Amarillo dealership it was perfect cosmetically. Chevrolet came through in other ways like rewards and 1st payment reimbursement, but delivering the car damaged is unacceptable. especially after all the crap I went through mechanically with the car. So if they want to do the right thing they need to cover damages . It's not about the money, the repairs are $1200.00 which I've already scheduled. Its about doing the right thing.
Despite all the well wishers here, you don't stand a chance of winning this because you didn't notice the damage upon receipt of the vehicle and make notification at that point. He had driven off fat, dumb, and happy at that point. However, I wish you well and hope you prevail.

Probably why the car was delivered so dirty to cover the damage. Can you imagine trying to make the driver wait while you wash it so you can check for damage. I guess this is the only option when your $100k baby has a blown motor and has Chevy techs tearing it apart and then it gets shipped and towed all over the place. What a horrible experience for something that is supposed to be one of your best memories.
The fact that it is bad faith means you would recover attorney's fees and as much as triple damages. See a lawyer. Go ahead and get it fixed, just keep all the paperwork.
It’s been a while since I posted this but after opening a new case and escalating it up the chain my Executive advisor was able to reimburse me in reward points. Chevrolet came through!

Rewards points. Doesn’t that mean you have to “spend” them with GM, therefore they aren’t out anything since the points/money goes right back into their pockets. Kinda like a local appliance store that offers 11% rebates off everything IN STORE CREDITS.😂 No problem if you’re happy I guess.

To be honest you can look at it that way, but to me it’s as good as cash. I can you it for accessories or service on any of my vehicles. The problem was when I received my car the guy that delivered it was lucky I didn’t see the damage and I signed off. That was the reason they couldn’t hold them accountable.
I would say if anyone is having to use Chevy reunite look over your car with a fine tooth comb before signing off.

Sorry to hear of your chain of events. A couple things puzzle me. Why wouldn't a reputable GM dealer detail and wash a new Corvette with 499 miles on it after having extensive repair work done? If the vehicle was washed and detailed how did it get so dirty traveling in enclosed trailer? I'd start by asking those questions! Hope you can reach a favorable solution soon and get out and enjoy your beautiful new ride!

Car was washed and dried before it left. The dealership was awesome to deal with from the start. Between all my rewards they awarded me, the reimbursements and the extended warranty I’m more than satisfied. The only issue I have is that Chevy reunite should use an actual auto transport company. Super happy with the outcome and the car is awesome. I have one issue which I have an appointment for at my local dealership. I got an engine light on low fuel pressure at startup.
