Default Dealer Installed Options

Question when I had ordered my Corvette, I chose some dealer installed options. Last week when picked up at my dealer they didn't give me back the items removed. My ordered included DIO Ext Composite Rockers, Black Lug Nuts, and Carbon Flash Mirrors. I saw somewhere that I should have received from my Dealer the painted rockers, chrome lug nuts and original emblems from the dealer. Is this correct info? Thanks for the help.

Don't know about the Mirrors BUT the Rocker Extensions just cover those that are molded as part of the car body! They are not separate. The rivet those thin overlays to the "rockers" (and frankly thy only cover 2/3 of the front) existing and use 3M tape on top. What you have are thin covers! I thought the carbon flash mirrors were a replacement that also got you a black rear wing IF you have a Z51.

That is why I ordered the GM 5VM to get fill protection. It was constrained so had to but C7 Carbon aftermarket that I installed.

Tracker shows where track rubber hit his car. Note Rocker extensions only cover 2/3.

Pic shows issue with not covering rear 1/3

Depends on you area but I added aftermarket full length side skirts to my 2014 Z51 and ordered the $4000 Stage 2 Areo Option for mt 2017 Grand Sport. Before my aftermarket side skirts arrived, my rocker panels were marked where the Tracked showed track rubber hit. Fortunately, the 5VM copies covered.

The composite rocker covers go over the painted rockers.

Carbon flash painted mirrors come like that from the factory - it's not a separate LPO. The exposed carbon fiber mirror caps, are however, an LPO, and those just go on over the painted mirrors.

What original emblems are you talking about?

At the very least, they should have given you the original lug nuts back when they put on your black lug nuts.

I had the dealer installed options of the Front and rear splash guards and Black lug nuts. The original parts (fender inserts and bright lug nuts) were included with my delivery

I just picked up mine on Saturday and they gave me the original chrome lug nuts in a box. The black lugs and black locks were installed by the dealer.
