Default HTC Window over engine

I don't have a HTC, but this popped up on my YT feed and I thought it was interesting for those that want to be able to see the engine with a HTC. Did a search and didn't see this posted, but if it is already, let me know and I'll delete.

I've seen it posted somewhere before either here or on the facebook page. Not a big fan personally looks kind of tacky IMO. I don't really need to see the engine.

What's next? A clear undertray to view the transmission?

My wife does not need to see her engine, I can hear it now, well I was looking at my engine and not the road, that's how I ended up in the lake

For starters, whoever decides to take the jump he has to have the courage of a Navy Seal but anyone who has paid $80-$100K can do as they please with their HTC.

It might be wise to consider this seems to be a one shot deal to get it right and Murphy's law applies. It also might not be a popular aftermarket add on, specially to sell the car.

Good find. I only searched "HTC window" and manually went back only to mid-May. Surprised they didn't update that post with the video.

Jeff Lemke of Falcon Motorsports designed and fabricated that cover. He is also responsible for the design and creation of the Falcon F7 Supercar. He's quite a talented designer and engineer. The F7 is an amazing piece of rolling art !

I really don't get this obsession some corvette owners have with seeing an engine cover.

He is also a forum member. The Falcon F7 is a beautiful car. He built it from the ground up. He also has a clear c8 engine cover that he did extensive heat testing on because he was concerned about what his competitors were putting out with regards to heat transfer to the painted top.

The guy is very talented and in my electronic communications with him he has been very helpful and informative.

Is it really any different than the C6 or C7 owners who put thousands of dollars worth of chrome or painted parts under the hood of their cars?

yes it is different. i would assume those parts are for car shows and they didnt cut a hole in the hood of their cars so you could see it all the time. at least i hope they didnt lol

for ther record i find nothing wrong with doing this window mod if it makes you happy, i personally have no interest to see the engine on my car but thats why mine is mine and theirs are theirs.

Nope, and that is just as bizarre to me.
