Engine compartment wrap?
What are the thoughts on using a PPF wrap on the dark gray composite material in the engine compartment. The idea would be to use a pattern/graphic wrap, however the temperature in the engine compartment may be high for the wrap to survive. Maybe just painting it body color or something would be a better option. The aftermarket panels are an option bet expensive and don't cover all of the ugly composit..

I had my engine bay wrapped in gloss black a few days after I bought it. Its been about a year and a half and almost 2000 mi's and its holding up great. Only area I had problems with are the areas just above the cats. It peeled up there so I trimmed it off but the rest still looks great. You can see in the first pic where I trimmed it just above the oil catch can and I got a few very small bubbles on either side of the dimples that the hatch lid bumpers sit but they are very minor - you can barely see them. Other than that its perfect and really cleans up the engine bay. I say go for it!
