I couldn’t get anything to slide in between the glass and the dash?
Try using the vinyl backing from you license plate holder as a rigid slide, if you like white, size it down as is, or, if you prefer a specific color, add it to the vinyl as I did.
I can't remember what shade of red (3 offered) I chose from Michaels believe it was the dark red, as my first choice looked more pink. But as you can see my second attempt matched adrenaline red almost perfect and that's what's I was trying for.
I have seen people talk about this on other threads. Apparently some dash-windshield clearances are tighter than others. Mine accepts a piece of Vinyl from Michaels but doesn't like it when I attach it to thin card stock.
I am pretty disappointed. I bought the material, but my dash pad is so tight to the w8ndshield I cannot get even just the vinyl in the crack.....
I have the same problem, mine is a 2021 Corvette and bought the Vinyl at Michaels. There is just not any clearance for me to push the vinyl down . I tried with different plastic pry tools and could not get the vinyl to budge. A year ago I tried just a sheet of white copy paper to see if there is a gap and it would go down. However the vinyl is just too thick for the clearance between the dash and windshield on my car. Even put the tape on both sides of the Team Corvette on the outside of the windshield so I could center it. Just no luck. Tried for a good 20 minutes and could not make any progress at all.
Success "update on the previous post". As I saw in a Video I put a strip of blue tape on the outside of the Windshield on either side of the " Team Corvette " so I knew how to center the vinyl from the inside of the Car.
The trick for me was instead to trying to slide the seven inch side down, I just turned it so that I was pushing the "2'" side down and it went right in. I was then able to turn it 90 degrees and center it and it was in.
Be careful. I put the vinyl in and everything was fine for 6 months. Now half of it has slid down. When it warms up I need to remove it completely and be done with it. Sam
