Try using the vinyl backing from you license plate holder as a rigid slide, if you like white, size it down as is, or, if you prefer a specific color, add it to the vinyl as I did.

I was pondering spray painting thin plastic sheet with ELB paint, but worry paint may eventually stick to windshield.

I would not do that for the reason you said. Craft stores have tons of colors

Go to Michaels and pick up a 12"x12" sheet for $1.66...They have over 40 colors which include 4 different blues to choose from!

I can't remember what shade of red (3 offered) I chose from Michaels believe it was the dark red, as my first choice looked more pink. But as you can see my second attempt matched adrenaline red almost perfect and that's what's I was trying for.

I am pretty disappointed. I bought the material, but my dash pad is so tight to the w8ndshield I cannot get even just the vinyl in the crack.....

Not sure what the problem is,a piece of card stock slid right in mine. Wasn't tight at all.

tight as can be. It is a new 2023 so either they are building that gap tighter or over time maybe some material shrinkage of dash may allow.

I have seen people talk about this on other threads. Apparently some dash-windshield clearances are tighter than others. Mine accepts a piece of Vinyl from Michaels but doesn't like it when I attach it to thin card stock.

These referee cards are durable but not sure if the 4" height will be long enough for when I get my C8. Anyone know the length of the lettering?

Otherwise I was planning to get reflective yellow safety material in some sort of band or card form (not adhesive tape) to wedge in.

Edit: Here we go. One fluorescent yellow patch for the cross flags logo and "Team" then another patch for "Corvette" if each patch is long enough:

I have the same problem, mine is a 2021 Corvette and bought the Vinyl at Michaels. There is just not any clearance for me to push the vinyl down . I tried with different plastic pry tools and could not get the vinyl to budge. A year ago I tried just a sheet of white copy paper to see if there is a gap and it would go down. However the vinyl is just too thick for the clearance between the dash and windshield on my car. Even put the tape on both sides of the Team Corvette on the outside of the windshield so I could center it. Just no luck. Tried for a good 20 minutes and could not make any progress at all.

Success "update on the previous post". As I saw in a Video I put a strip of blue tape on the outside of the Windshield on either side of the " Team Corvette " so I knew how to center the vinyl from the inside of the Car.

The trick for me was instead to trying to slide the seven inch side down, I just turned it so that I was pushing the "2'" side down and it went right in. I was then able to turn it 90 degrees and center it and it was in.

Notch the paper and it will fold as you are pushing the vinyl in. The vinyl must be 2x7 inches.

I originally used some colored vinyl that I had laying around, but then I went a different route.

Be careful. I put the vinyl in and everything was fine for 6 months. Now half of it has slid down. When it warms up I need to remove it completely and be done with it. Sam
