As amazing as it is Lambo decided he'd go ballistic preciesely when he did?
A Lambo w/o a radar detector.
Have owned 8 Corvettes over 31 years, have almost a million miles in Vettes and never owned a radar detector. Ditto for 300,000 miles in P-cars, and 60,000 in a Ferrari...
Few years ago in my C6 ZO6 on the freeway. This guy behind is flashing all over to get by. I knew an LEO was up ahead and gave him a friendly slow down hand gesture try to warn him. He flew by me and gave me the finger. 2 miles down the road where he was pulled over by the LEO I slowed down and just LMAO.
A similar story from years ago. I was driving up a highway in NY on my way to golf, a Mustang, with a little kid in the passenger seat, came blasting by me at probably 90 MPH. I commented to my golfing buddy....."why is there never a cop around when someone does that?"......about a mile up the road he was pulled over by a state trooper. We had a good laugh. A few minutes later, the same Mustang came blasting by us again at 90 MPH. I was gob smacked and furious.....until a few mile up the road, yep, you guessed it....he was pulled over again by a state trooper....redemption is sweet....what an *******....
This happened to me all the time in my ZR1, I would just smile , wouldn’t even waist my gas, all the guys wanting to race knew they would be smoked…….lol I would then give them the 👋
I had exact thing happen a few years ago. I was leader on a (10) car Corvette trip when a Lambo starting goading different cars in group for about 10 miles. He finally got antsy and took off, passing me at probably 110+. As he passed me my radar detector started banging and low and behold a MI state trooper was in the median. As we passed he lights up his overheads and takes off and busts the Lambo. I felt no guilt.....this was captured on my car cam and is on YouTube as Lambo Busted. I was laughing my *** off. He picked the worst moment to take off.
Too funny;-) You did well holding back from racing him. Although I wasn't able to hold back from racing a new Lambo Aventador once the light turned green on Pima a couple months ago.
I wouldn't feel guilty in the least bit...His decision had consequences that you had no control over...
I have no desire to race anyone on a public road...Admittedly I do find it entertaining when someone comes along side wanting to race me...I just play into their juvenile egos and let them think I'm interested and then let them take off alone...Bye Felicia!
He is the one who broke the law not you. I always ignore race challenges. They can only lead to trouble. I will drive fast, but on my own conditions and my own timing. I don't have to prove myself or my car to anyone else.
Way back when it was 55. I passed a pu truck with my blazer. For some reason he took exception and came flying by just as my valentine started to tickle. Yep he was pulled over by the time I caught . Couldn't resist gave the cop a wave as I went by.
Yesterday morning, I was on the interstate in my HTC, doing the speed limit (about 60MPH), when a Mustang GT pulled up next to me. The driver kept looking over at me, while giving me the "go" sign that he wished to race. I had no intent of racing this guy, but he seemed intent, so I gave him a "thumbs up". He took off like a flash and was instantly gone somewhere down the road. I changed my mind and decided to not participate...
Seconds later I saw blue lights up ahead and as I passed the Mustang, now pulled over, the driver peered at me looking a bit angry to put it mildly.
Did I mislead him? Should I feel guilty? I really feel bad for the driver, as he was probably doing over a hundred when he got tagged. Maybe I should not have responded at in the first place.....
