Oh! I gotcha, that part makes sense now.

I pass people on the right all the time. But not because I’m trying to avoid radar. It’s because people camp in the middle and left lanes going slow and because I am virtually always in the right lane unless I’m moving over to pass someone that’s in the right lane (or if I’m moving over for a vehicle on the shoulder or to allow merging traffic to enter the highway).

I feel very strongly that traffic flows best if everyone wood behave that way, and I think it would reduce accidents caused by high speed lane changes around slower traffic who didn’t move out of the way, and the ones that occur when a faster car tries to pass on the right and the slower car tries to move out of the way when it’s already too late. I think it’s safest if everyone is always in the right most lane unless they’re passing someone. (Okay actually the safest is if everyone goes the speed limit, so maybe I think my approach is *second safest*…)

I said was I was going 77 mph in a 70-mph limit. We're halfway from NY to FL and folks speed all the time. We have lots of Troopers patrolling the 30-mile section thru town, the ONLY large town in SC directly on I95. I stay at ~7 over. In that case I am in the middle of three lanes, the dude was in the left passing me going well past my 77 mph. Cell phone on top of steering wheel rim thumbs going a mile a minute!

Common for some folks to pass on the right using traffic in the center lane to block Trooper radar (or think they are.) Then weave in front and dart back to the right usually between 18 Whelers. Have many of them on I95. That is more dangerous BUT they usually get in an accident and maybe "survival of the fittest" (smartest in this case) takes care of those folks!

Can someone with one of these boxes tell me if you can plug a USB stick into the box, then play movies or videos on the C8 screen?

I think it depends on the box you get. Mine is supposed to play videos from the SD card but I've never confirmed it. The boxes are like an Android smartphone without a screen.

There are so many to choose from! I have an iphone and just want to be able to either cast from phone to car screen or have slot for USB or SD that can play video or movie to car screen. The Magic Box 2.0 looks promising.

I take all back roads the 25/30 miles to town not I95 because of distracted drivers on the Interstate (and to have fun.) On the Interstate I have seen folks passing me in the center lane going ~77 mph with their cell phone on top of the steering wheel rim me going ~90. Worse than those passing on the right thinking they will use me and others to evade trooper radar.

BUT still an issue. Several times I have seen cars going over the solid center line and I wonder if they will react fast enough to see I'm coming the other way. Frankly look to where I can steer off the road to avoid if they don't. But in spots in our rural area drainage ditches on both sides!

"Assertive," LOL...

Default You don't “count” backwards from “Z”.

You don't “count” backwards from “Z”, & you don’t own his car either. Many download video mixes, talkshow, youtube shows to “listen to” & doesn’t mean watch. You link your cellphone, but do you watch it while driving? Also, if at a carshow - one could watch whatever they want in their parked car. Reminds me of the other great grand dads that said they woul d never get a C8 because it ruined the Corvette (as in nolonger front engine)… then low and behold 2 years later same ones complaining about flippers because their place in line is 2 yrs out - laugh out loud (&#128513. Go easy, @ your age - your wisdom should tell you a question deserves an answer vs a diatribe and useless flex.

Was concerned he wouldn't care about cars (they live near Claremount CA in San Antonio Heights and EV's are the family thing.) So Hot Wheels etc have been my Birthday and Christmas gifts. His grandfather and my daughter are NASCAR fans (far more than I, who sponsored Richard Petty for >15 years in my former life!) Son-in-law wins virtual reality races and has a neat set-up using 3D goggles etc! Scarry when you go too fast for a turn! The 6-year-old brought his virtual reality winning grandfather a Hot Wheels car that he added a Scotch tape spoiler like a real NASCAR! Said it would go faster!

Some of the best music is on concert videos. The point is not to watch movie while driving, but to enjoy best of the best music. For example, this Pink Floyd PULSE concert showing with the Video in Motion (VIM) on a Porsche. To get this done, I provided the VIN to a shop in Germany and they UPSed a dongle to change the code via the ODB port. Once updated, you remove the dongle for future use (in case a dealer loads new config wiping out the change). Let me know if such a VIM change is available in the market. I have the same VIM on Jeep Wrangler equipped with Lockpick. AC/DC Live at Donington and George Strait Cowboy Rides Again Live are my other favorites.
