Non-marring lugnut socket?

Can someone please direct me to a quality non-marring lugnut socket kit ? I see there are a few on amazon but have mixed reviews. Thanks!!

I got mine at Harbor Fre8ght. Nylon coated, seem great for as often as I use them.

I get all mine for each vehicle at AutoZone. I've been using them for years and they hold up fine with repeated impact use too.

Use a 22mm with the plastic/ nylon outer. The 7/8" fits but knocks up your lugnuts. Alot of tire shops probably grab a 7/8" which is a little too loose.

That is what I use. BUT see many that only have the outer plastic protection. Helps the wheel BUT not the lug.

I had used the one in pic below for ~10 years on my C6 and C7 Vettes. It has a hard plastc inner part that touches a lug. But now over $35 if you can find and none for 22 mm lugs. Frankly dout it would hold up well with 140 ft-lbs.

Note the 22mm Titan has rounded corners that prevent the steel inner from contacting the lug nut corners. Has worked fine.

I also use a short extension (called 1 1/2" but it fits flush) and only ends enough length so my torque wrench just clears my fenders. Closer the better as easy to get 140 lbs using two hands and legs! No strain on lower back!

I have the titan socket in the links provided that lasted 2 uses, my review on Amazon is one of the 1 star. I noticed the first time i used this socket the plastic sleeve slipped and spun.

Why does it matter if the sleeve slips/spins? It's only purpose as a cover is to protect the wheel from metal-on-metal contact. I have a set in 17-22mm and have yet to have one fail on me after years of use.

If care about not damaging your lug nuts, never use or let a shop use an impact tool on them.

Yours looks like it is the 19mm version, perhaps the 22mm version is better. I haven't had any problems with my 22mm but I don't use it with an impact wrench either since I don't want to mar the lug nuts.

I do mine by hand and a 25" breaker bar. Never an impact. The socket is wrapped in electrical tape. Never a mark. Top of socket does not touch the bolt. Simple ,cheap, effective.

The only way you can break the sleeve on those Titan sockets is by not knowing what you are doing. I have two 19mm, 21mm and 22mm and none of them have a broken sleeve. AND, I've used them with impacts occasionally which, probably shouldn't do.
