Anyone else have this issue?
I'm on the hi-way in 8th gear in V4 start to pass someone and give it some gas. It goes into V8 mode drops to 6th gear, as I let up on the gas in stays in 6th and continues to rev.
I have to double tap the gas for it to stop and then it goes into 7th.
This has happened about 4x so far.
Are you getting the performance gear on the dash, green circle looks like a gear? If so the car thinks you want to drive aggressively and hold you in a gear after a short period of time it will revert back to normal driving if you don't floor it.
Sounds like its just holding the gear for a bit. Check to see if your transmission is set to sport but it can set itself to sport so to speak temporarily based on driving style.

The information on this feature is scattered throughout the manual. If you have downloaded the manual, search on these terms:
performance shift (page 81, 208 in the 2023 manual)
performance transmission (page 89, 202, 211 in the 2023 manual)
driver influenced gear selection (page 211 in the 2023 manual)
What driving mode are you in? In Track mode (or Z-mode with the engine/transmission set to the rightmost position), the DCT will hold a gear for a long time after you let off the gas.
