Besides Cacti, that's got to be one of the ugliest colors they came out with. It's rare because no-one wanted that color. I'd be embarrassed to admit owning it. If you are only thinking of buying it because it's "rare", so be it. But I certainly wouldn't buy it.

…I’ve never been a “brown” car fan at all, but gotta admit that Caffeine in direct sunlight was nice! With the natural dipped interiors, they were really sharp! The factory wheel options though were tough due to their colors…silver looked odd to me, CFM wheels were OK, but if I’d gotten one, I’d have to consider getting my factory wheels powder coated in a bronze that was close to the natural dipped interior color, or possibly darker to complement it…
I know im in the minority but I think this is one of the coolest colors the c8 comes in along with Zeus Bronze... I wouldn't worry about the rarity factory necessarily... these cars are too mass produced to be considered collectible in any amount of meaningful time frame. It may help it by a couple grand but any real value in it will probably be many many years down the road and at that point who knows. Cars are terrible investments. Buy the color you like and enjoy it as a car not a potential investment. That being said... I think Caffeine is a killer color, cant go wrong.

If you like the color, go for it. It is a rare color in that not many were made (you can read that any way you want), but doubt that it will add any value to the car, anytime soon if ever.
Thinking of buying this color. I know they only made 325 units.. Thinking ahead if I ever want to sell or trade. What do u think
They didn’t sell many C8s in this color because it wasn’t a good color and many think it was the worst color ever on a Corvette. So instead of the color being a resale benefit it will be a resale anchor.
I mean they only made 12 Carlisle Blue ZR1s and those things bring a mint so... who knows. Someone somewhere will want that specific color. Anything as far as its future value is pure speculation

BringATrailer would be your best shot at a price premium because “it’s rare”. Dealers will offer less than market because “it’s rare”, then list it for above market because “it’s rare”. Private sale will probably be slower since it’s a low demand choice.

Well, I thought it was a horrible color until I saw it, I was pleasantly surprised, it was a lot nicer than I thought. Would I buy it “no”. But it’s your choice
If you like this color, then you should get it. Don't worry about what other people think or want. In 1966 I would guess that not many people liked or wanted a Mosport Green Sting Ray but they sure want them now.

Same reaction. Not something I liked in pics, but then saw one and completely different than the pics.
It's risky with a color like this but if you like it, it's you that you have to please, not a bunch on a car forum. I maintain with rare/risky colors like this and in the resale markets, when someone else wants it, they will hunt hi low for it, and BC it's rare the seller is in a better bargaining position.
I've a neighbor who loves C3s and is searching/hunting for one in the brown it came in then.
