Anyone has any idea how much would it cost to dye your C8 interior, to be more specific, if you own a twilight/tension blue interior and you wish to turn it into a dipped tension blue (the blue color close to the rapid blue) similar to the red adrenaline dipped interior
Not sure of the cost but WOW that's a gamble and a big job. Also it would never truly be a dipped interior as all the carpeting and sueded sections are twilight. I too agree there is not enough tension blue on the new seats (not of fan of the thin side bolster sections). I like the seats WAY more on my GSCE, which is why I'm getting all black and then going to add some tension highlights. I love that color but think it would be too loud and in your face as a single dipped interior. Good luck but if you do try this huge task, I would get the dye from Seat Doctors. They do a great job and the tension blue dye I got from them was spot on. Post pics if you do it.

I'm torn a part.. Not sure how to order my C8... I realise doing this is a big task and probably costly.. But at the same time I feel this is a dream car and wanna make it enjoyable to the max... I'm definitely a fan of "in your face interior" ... I feel the black is dull and would never order it...
So I'm in between 2 options
1-Rapid blue exterior with adrenaline red dipped interior
Or
2- accelerate yellow exterior with the tension/twilight blue.. And then going for that big task of making it all tension blue
Sooo I'm trying to research the cost to be comfortable with how I order the car...
Number 1 sounds nice. Number 2 sounds like a color over ride is needed. I would never call black dull, very rich looking. Maybe common but I'm getting the black sueded interior, then adding tension headrests, color the stitching tension, and a tension steering wheel stripe. We'll see if I stop there. Again good luck and let us know which way you go.
Wow that makes no sense. You wouldn't think blue and red would be rare. I guess because it is Rapid Blue. Best of luck but Seat Doctors is your source to quote that job. I'm sure they would know how much product it would take and if you need a primer coat or something on the twilight before dyeing with tension.

So Seat Doctor responded, they said this is quite an undertaking and not something they would support or assist with
From my experience having many interiors done from scratch or significantly modified, I'd recommend finding a very good upholsterer and let them replace all the pieces you want different. A gifted upholsterer can work magic in this regard! All the best.
