Default High Wing thoughts?

Hello everyone, what's your thoughts on the high wings for the Stingrays? I'm thinking about adding a high wing to my 2024 Stingray order. Does it take away from the classy look?

I echo what Tadda said. However I think it takes away from the classy exotic look of the C8 if you want my opinion. If it is a track car then by all means add the downforce.

Tons of threads on here about this with strong opinions on both sides. I have the high wing and love the look, but, as others noted, it's all about you, not us.

Personally I think they look ridiculous and brake up the fine lines of the C8's sleek body design, but it matters nothing what I think regarding your C8. If you like it, get it.

Get the high wing. Mine was on constraint so I bought over the counter and the dealer installed it. You can always add it on later if you're not sure. Visibility out the rear is fine on a coupe with the wing.. Plenty of pics on this forum.

This was my thinking early on until I added one and I really love the aggressive look now. My soon to be built 2024 will get one also. It honestly changes the whole look of the car.

100% high wing. Completes the C8's look.

Why does (it) matter that you think they should get what they like? Most the posts on here are what other people think. Are you not implying you posts don't matter?

I'll get a high wing sometime after I install my headers...... It was on constraint when I finalized my order....

Yes it's on national back order once again. I will order it through parts and hopefully it will arrive at the selling dealer for them to install.

It’s a personal decision. I like the way the high wing look from the rear. I think it looks horrendous from the side and from the front angles. Ultimately, I still ordered my car with the high wing, but soon after it came in, decided to remove it and replace it with the low wing. It looked too big and gaudy. To me the low wing looks more classy and exotic. Overall, I prefer this look better.

I like them, However it does make it a bit hard to get stuff in and out of the rear trunk space.

Personally, I prefer the Z-06 high wing over the Stingray optional wing. I have a Z-51 with the OEM Z-51 wing and it looks Ok, but it would like to go to the Z-06 wing in the future.

So, being he asked. I think it looks Ricer on a Street Car.

No quite so bad on a White C8 but just wouldn't work on mine.

Yes, it does change the the whole look of the car, that's my problem with it. I prefer the look of the Z51 spoiler as it's not to much and not too little at least to my eye.

But that wasn't the point of my original comment...DOH!

Get what YOU like and you'll always be content!

That said, I do agree with your comment regarding the high wing spoiler...

Maybe yes maybe no. Maybe you will always be second guessing your decision worried about what other people think?

Everyone should do what they want and like. I went with the low-profile wing.

But since you asked, the reason why I personally wouldn't go with the high-wing is because:
1) Unattractive
2) Blocks rear view
3) Obstructs reach into trunk
4) I'm not 16 years old anymore
