Just curious if anyone else has suffered this issue. I searched and couldn't come up with anything. Was at track a couple of days ago, got in car to go out, hit start button and heard something run (fuel pump?), but car does not turn over. Tried 5 or 6 times and car finally started. Car worked fine for the next few hours of multiple starts then in the afternoon the same thing happened and car has been in No Start condition ever since. Got the car home (had to use dollies under rear wheels to get onto a trailer) and scanned. The Fault indicated (curiously no DTC) is Serial Data Gateway Module (SDGM) has lost communication with right and left side obstacle detection control modules. Per attached pic system names are U023200-00 and U023300-00. Scanner will not clear faults. Have an appointment with Dealer for Sep 11th but just wondering if anyone else has bumped up against this.
Disconnect the battery cables. Touch pos and neg cables together to reset/ remove codes. Reattach cables. Start car.
I have seen a no-start problem on YouTube and this allowed the owner to start his C8 and drive normally.

Good luck
I know folks recommend touching both cables together to discharge things in the system but I don't recommend doing that. It can (and has in my case with a Ford EEC) overstress the input power circuits (caps especially). I'd disconnect the negative terminal and let the car sit overnight.

That suggests to my untrained eye that there is a connector somewhere that both the right and left side obstacle detection control modules use to send data to the SDGM and that connector is having an issue.
