Just curious...happened to be looking at the "Pre-Owned" listing of C8's on the website of a major East Coast dealer (y'know....the one in AC). Was struck by the fact that there are numerous 2023 & 2022 C8's listed for sale, all with very low mileage......like around 1000 to less than 5000 miles.
Is there something going on with new C8 owners regretting their purchases & turning in these cars? Are some new owners overextending themselves & finding they cannot handle the payments? Are some buyers expecting something that a C8 is not?
Was thinking of moving from my C6 to a C8, but this all makes me pause. Thoughts from you C8 owners would be appreciated.
I’ve had a hot summer fling with my gorgeous C8 HTC purchased new on 8/03 but after having my car sidelined with a mechanical issue for 2 weeks and a less than stellar dealership experience I’ve decided to trade her in tomorrow for an LC500 vert - see my “I have sinned” thread in the “Other Cars” sub-forum for details (I’d post a link but don’t know how ). I’ll still have mostly fond memories of my C8 though
Most of those cars were bought and sold quickly to turn a profit. I'm on my 8th Vette in 31 years.... best Vette yet! Can't wait to get mine out of the body shop and get back on the road.
Losts of reasons… financial, novelty, personal, but surprised what they’re asking. You can order a new ‘24 cheaper. I guess they’re promoting the, “you can drive it home today,” as opposed to waiting…
I’ve been an owner for 6 months, love it. I wish it sounded like an old big block, but that’s the only complaint. I’m amazed at how good the car does everything. Maybe… maybe I would get a convertible on the next one…. So, convertible with the sound of a big block and it would be perfect.

I regret I couldn't find one (at msrp) before this year. Have never had buyers remorse on any new Corvette (same with used C3's).

Build 40k a year of a car and a few are going to show up for sale.

I don't know of a "major East Coast dealer... in AC," but I think the vast majority of C8 owners are VERY happy with their cars!
It's nearing the end of a driving season for many, so they are trying to sell now hoping to maximize the price they're paid. I wouldn't read too much into it.
Many people over extend themselves financially and many just sell because of life changes causing financial change in priorities. Nothing much to do with the actual cars.
I am surprised, but I think there is more of this than we realize. When I was buying mine my salesman was telling me how much this happens and I was surprised. They actually required a 5k deposit which I’m sure was designed to cut down on this issue…..
I've owned a '22 and now a '23, put my build in for a '24 Z06 so others go as new arrive. After many Corvettes in many years, the C8 is considerably superior to all other's I've owned.

Personally, I don't believe I've ever seen an uglier front end on a sportscar. Rear looks good IMO.
Thanks for the link! I can’t stand the “spindle grille” on most modern Lexus vehicles but on the LC I think it looks really good. The LC isn’t really a sportscar IMO - it’s more of a luxury coupe/convertible with some “sporty” features

Always liked that car and was on my short list when I bought my c8. Love the color... its apparently hard to get yellow right but yours is a good one.
This is normal for high end sports cars … just check out the inventory on Porsches and Ferraris, many people buy these type of cars and really are not ‘car’ people and they realize it afterwards and trade them in for something more comfortable for everyday driving, yes I know many here will say the C8 is a very comfortable car and I agree for me it is too but it’s still a sports car and as you see around you most people prefer SUV’s, sedans, etc.
I wouldn’t let used car inventory persuade me from buying a car.
