They should send you an e-mail. That is what they did for me. There are quite a few people on the list in front of you who either have constraints or are deferring so you are not as far away as you think.

Received an email from them requesting that I go to Chevy.com and build the car, and then email the link. Shane Malone, Sales Manager, later reached out (email) to verified the order workbench.

Hey, I'm 332 at Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, Fl. But it's for a Z-R1!....I told the YL that called me that I'd probably have my car about the time the C9 comes out!!
