C8 trans issue

Default C8 trans issue
Twice now I went to start my car, and the trans is locked in park, and a service trans message shows up. After cycling through start a few times, it cleared itself. But now I'm worried about getting stranded somewhere. Any idea's, suggestions?

I think most people's first suggestion would be to call your dealer ASAP and get it in when you can. That's what I'd do.

I think most people's first suggestion would be to call your dealer ASAP and get it in when you can. That's what I'd do.

Run OnStar diagnostics so u have a record. Take into the dealer again as I assume u took it in the 1st time u received the message.

my car needed a new Speed Sensor

If it says "service trans," I think you should have the dealer service the trans. Before you do get totally struck.

Let them diagnose what is causing the problem and get it fixed for you.
