New filter and replace fluid. I know on other threads this has been brought up and someone said if tranny needed repair/replacement it would be under warranty. That is fine if it goes out at home but I travel in it and don't want to be stuck. Does anyone know how to contact GM to verify this change in procedure? Any contact information would be appreciated. Also those that have had the filter changed, did you have the computer controlled flush and actually know/see them do it. Or was it just a filter change.
They're either too lazy to do it, or too stupid to know how. If line 1 of the procedure says do it, that means GM requires it.

Everyone who's dealer refuses to do it should give them a zero on GM's survey.

You lose 6 to 8 oz of fluid, per GM, and the service procedure specifically says to top up the DCT afterwards. So yes, it is required. You're right that they shouldn't have charged for a full quart unless they give the remainder of the bottle to the owner.

Do you have a copy of this service procedure page you can post here so I can show it to my Service Rep just in case they say it’s not required?

Note: It is not necessary to drain the transmission fluid. Only the fluid in the housing will be lost when removing the in-line filter cover. Approximately 8 ounces of automatic (fluid). © 2023 General Motors.

I have the rest of it. Give me a minute. The version I have that is complete does not include the new info about the +/- 500 miles. But here is a version where I put together the procedure with all the sub procedures. I don't have the actual latest digital version - this is pieced together from what I do have 2020 version of the manual, and what others have posted here.

This first clip, I added in Edit, is from a later version of the first page. Its for a model year 2022, but these are updated for each model, so its probably a 2023 update. I don't have the rest of this version. The remainder of what I posted if from previous versions posted here or in my 2020 paper copy
