Default My Chevrolet App

Have some questions around the App that I haven't been able to find clear answers for.

First of all I am in Canada, so not sure if there is a difference in functionality, or subscription levels between Canada & U.S.

I have 3 cars that appear in the app:

2023 C8
2020 Caddilac CT5(took delivery in July 2021)
2020 ZL1

The C8 & CT5 show as "connected" in the app, but very little else. About the only.other functions they show is where the cars are located(parked), and whether the are ready for an update. The app shows options for picking o0tional services or plans. I do get emails each month letting know the mileage, tire pressure, and if it needs scheduled maintenance.

In the Forum, I have seen others mention that you.can track location, where it is being driven, and driving habits.

Is there something I am missing from the basic app, that others get, or is this correct? Do i need to subscribe to get the other items mentioned above?

For the ZL1, it does not show as connected, and when i selct that car, it just asks me if i am "ready to activate OnStar safety and security services". As this car is 6 months past the 3 year warranty, or 42 months since the in-service date, does that mean I get nothing without subscribing?

If i do need to subscribe to get the extra functionality for the C8 and the CT5, that's fine...

TiA!

Rob

You need an active OnStar subscription for full functionality. It's $15/month for the Remote Access plan, or $25 with unlimited WiFi data (Connected Vehicle plan).

Yes you need a basic subscription to onstage for new corvettes they upcharged us 300 for 2023 to give us the service. For my 2016 it was included for 3 years. Although nice I did not renew on the c7.
