Infotainment screen blank
We have had 2 days of torrential rain and cold. everything is damp including my garage. When I started the car this morning The wind shield fogged so I backed the car to the bottom of the driveway which was sunny. I locked the car and left it running to give the dog a quick run. I can almost swear I used the backup camera as I had to back past 3 other cars ! Anyways when I got back in there was a warning of "auto shutoff in seconds push check to dismiss" which I did with seconds to spare. It was then I noticed my Infotainment screen was blank ? I was going to be late to meet the Posse at Dunkin so I kept going. I tried the audio button and home button a few times to no avail. Radio was working and I got normal school and RR track alerts just no screenl. When I stopped for gas I left the drivers door open to do a soft reboot ? Everything went back to normal, same when I stopped at Dunkin and 3 or 4 other restarts all normal. Since I did not try a restart before the reboot there in no evidence the reboot did anything Your thoughts ?

This seems to happen. Rarely, but occasionally. The car's basically a computer, and like every computer things glitch. Shutting the car off, opening the door to shut of Retained Accessory Power (no need to leave it open) and restarting the car seems to fix it. I think it's happened to me 2, maybe 3 times in the 2 1/2 years I've owned the car.

Red, from what I have read several times leaving the driver's door open a minimum of 90 seconds does a cache reset or soft reboot as some call it. In any event thank you for your response !

Yes, that has been reported. But it's not really necessary for this issue. You just need to open the door to turn off the power (otherwise the infotainment system stays powered for 10 minutes), then restart.
