Default TPMS Nut Replacement

Quick question for ya all... I have Gloss Black rims and want to replace the ugly factory aluminum tpms nuts with black. Can this be done without loosing the sensor or loosing air??
I would think you could replace them but just don't want an issue..
Thanks for any help!!

Yes, I just recently replaced mine when I changed to black wheels. Just take the old ones off with a 12mm deep well socket and put the black ones on.

Yes Amazon sells them, very easy to do. you will not lose air. when you install them do not over tighten just lightly snug only. The brand is Muzzys store, universal black $14.99 they are in stock.

As long as you have pressure in the tires, you'll be fine.

Tire Rack also offers TPMS valve nuts in choices of silver or black. I'd be wary about ordering something like this from Amazon, but TR does a good job of ensuring that whatever they ship is compatible with particular makes and models.

I'm sure it's the exact same Chinese nut that is sold on Amazon. Plus Amazon returns are simple if you have an issue.

Sounds like a simple swap once you decide which TPMS nut to go with.

Pretty sure these are all universal size just like the valve stem caps.
There are however 2 different lengths (long or short) available.
I ordered the short version first, but ended up ordering and using the long ones to fill the gap between the valve cap and the nut/sleeve.

OEM (Note the gap between the valve stem cap and tpms nut/sleeve)

Aftermarket longer tpms nut/sleeve that fills the gap.

Final tpms nut/sleeve and valve stem cap installed on gloss black MRR F23 wheels

I ordered these and installed them today but they look and feel plastic. That worries me. I might just paint my stock ones. Have you had any issues?

I got mine from Amazon. They are made of aluminum, so no plastic feel.
No issues at all. I’ve even bought an additional set since and have them on my new Z06 that I got about 3 weeks ago.

Maybe I’m just an idiot and they are aluminum. Are these the ones you ordered?
