Option 2. I'm not a big fan of black vehicles, but the C8 does look amazing in black.

I only keep cars for 2 or 3 years. The satisfaction of have saved $15k on a car that's 95% of what I was looking for would greatly outweigh the 5% every time I looked at it. Especially down the road when it came time to sell. Maybe not the color I wanted but Black C8s do look amazing.

OPTION 2 is a No-Brainer.

The pro of option 2 over option 1 is you know it has a proven track record over not insignificant mileage without catastrophic failure. Whereas brand new cars run a risk of unpredictable surprises at early mileages. That brief period is when a factory warranty plays a critical role. As mileage climbs, the chance of catastrophic factory defects and need for warranty claims start to diminish.

That's essentially the peace of mind that comes with buying used over new. My MY23 just ticked over 500 miles and I already put a full PPF. For the time being, I'm paranoid that wrap job will go to complete waste until my C8 accumulates more mileage to prove it's not a lemon.

I wouldn't give up an M4 for a Stingray. If you were talking Z06, maybe, but not an SR.

Beautiful, and would solidify my previous vote. That's a much better DD & (imo) looking vehicle. My wife's DD is a '22 X3MC & mine is a '22 330e. I think BMWs are great machines

Option 1.

Like others have said, in the grand scheme of things, 15k is a small price to pay for getting exactly what you want...

You will be paying a higher interest rate on the used car. 60K financed over five years will also change your 15K price difference.

My credit union offers 4.99 for 60 months new and used so not worried about it being used vs new for financing luckily. I just would be putting less down on the used one.

Simple…..drop the Z51 option if you don’t intend to track the car A LOT and save yourself a ton of $$$$. Sure you could buy a used one but it will not be the color you want which for many people it’s a deal breaker.

BTW, selecting option 3 is far worse than option 1 (being a little pissed off paying the higher price).

Sure you could buy used but it’ll like not be close to what options including the color you wanted.
Yeah I thought about that too...but im worried about not having the elsd, bigger brakes and the resell impact

C8 standard brakes stop you on a dime and again unless you intend to track the car bigger brake are absolutely not need and you don’t have to deal with the massive brake dust. As for resell the one thing is constant and never changes….you never get your money back from options.

"you never get your money back from options", Never say never because it has happened but not normally.

OP, that black car is really nice and the ceramic coating, especially if it's a professional coating is a huge plus on black as you probably know. If you don't have an aversion to black it would be a good choice. Black usually gets a bad rap on CF but with ceramic and ppf available it's not that bad IMO. Good luck with your decision.

Hit this group on FB. Might find something new that is “close enough” at MSRP. That’s where I found my 70th AE Carbon Flash Metallic HTC.
