Default Retracting the Mirrors?

I know you can retract the mirrors when you shut the car off and lock the car. BUT... Can you retract the mirrors while moving? For example, when slowly pulling into the garage? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can retract them when pulling in/out of the garage. I have a tight fit and do this every time. Just press the manual retract button.

Yep I stop to let the wife out. Then retract the mirrors and turn on the front camera.

Pics show why when I got my C8 versus my prior 2017 Grand Sport, thought great I'll fold the mirrors as we do the wife's SUV. But then thought, I have been driving the Grand Sport for 3 years with no retraction (the Grand Sport did not have electrified.) i used the driver's mirror tip to the 8 foot wide garage door wood molding to assure the passenger door mirror has plenty of gap to clear. I just crawled in and kept the mirror tip to wood door molding from ~1 to 2 inch max.

I have to make a 3 point ("K") turn from the driveway to get the car close to perpendicular. Unusually still at a slight angle. The retracted mirrors are 79.75 inches and the rear fenders clear the 76.1 inch wide. BUT could scrape if the car is at an angle when I pull in! But if left extended to 84.5 inches no risk.

Currently considering my planned E-Ray. It's rear fender with is 79.7 inches; folded mirrors 79.5 inches. Any angle it would surely scrape! If I keep the mirrors extended at 84.75 unlikely the rear fender would scrape. BUT considering what I have been doing decided would be best getting into a habit of making two 3 point turns to assure the E-Ray is perpendicular. That extra time well worth not scraping a fender!

Pick was made for another reason but shows my 2017 Grand Sport in the center.

Our home is on a Lake and the building lots are deep but relatively narrow. Driveway is close to the property line. Garages can't face the street. So have to make a 3 point turn to get close to perpendicular to the door openings. With the E-Ray my plan is to get into the habit of making two 3 point turns to get perpendicular! Mirrors will remain extended to provide an easy guide for drivers mirror tip to door wood molding keeping in to ~1 to max 2 inches.

Yes, you can, but they'll automatically extend at ~ 11 mph. I'm not sure what happens if you try to retract them when going faster than that.

If I'm pulling up to a curb to park, is there a way to adjust the mirrors down to see the curb and have it go back automatically?

Yes, reverse tilt is in the settings. Instructions are in the owner's manual.

I know, but I don't want the mirrors reversed tilting if I'm backing out of my driveway. I just want it the rare occasion that I need to park close to a curb.

In that case manually adjust it using the buttons and then press your driver 1 button to get them back to the saved positions. Or, if you are the only driver, you could use driver 2 settings to save the mirror adjustment how you want it and then use the driver 2 button to lower them.

I would bet both setting are explained in the owners manual. But the answers above will do the things you want to do.

I had the mirrors set to tilt in reverse and turned it off. I noticed they didn't go back to the exact same position and I was adjusting them every time after they tilted.

I tried the mirror fold button today at about 20 mph. They folded in with no complaint, and stayed there. No idea if there's some upper limit beyond which they'll no longer fold.

I have the passenger side set to tilt in reverse, and it's always gone back to the normal position without any problem.
